Having trouble burping

I just gotten my surgery done on the 13th and Ive been doing good passing gas Ive been doing some walks and that makes the pain feel sooo much better the only thing is that I cant burp and that hurts it feel like a heart burn or something do anyone have advice to try to get my self to burp? I do take gas x and that have been helping passing gas but I need to burp...

I had my surgery on Aug 30 and still haven't been able to burp.  It doesn't bother me as much as it did right after surgery but I find I pass gas a lot more than I did before.

You will be able to burp soon. I had the same thing when I had my surgery June 16th.

I'm sorry rose..I hope you have some relief soon.

Don't know if this will work, but sometimes when I get that feeling, I pat myself on the chest, much like burping a baby and it helps!  Good luck.
