Quick poll:: Happy or Regret @ surgery
I am doing the happy dance right now! I am very happy. I have lost almost 40 pounds so far with very little effort--that was my whole reason for getting the band. I just had my second fill, and although I have yet to eat anything chewable (I can today, but I have just had yogurt so far), I believe that I finally have some restriction. I ate some cottage cheese last night, but could only eat half of the yogurt and had to put it away. I was shocked and pleased. I am still wearing my baggy clothes even though a smaller size fits because it feels so good to "swim" in my clothes for a while. I have started exercising, and it feels good. I don't dread going up and down the steps at work. I don't hurt getting out of bed in the morning like I used to. And most of all, I can get up from the floor after playing or bathing my kids much easier than I used to. I can't wait or imagine what my life will be like after another 40 pounds! So, can ya tell I'm happy?
Im happy!
It has taken me a LONG time to wrap my head around all of this. I think Im finally ready to accept my band and work with it. It has been a long struggle to get my head in the game but Im hitting the ground running now. If I didnt have this band Im sure by now I would be well into the 300s.
