I'm HAPPY to be banded!

This has been the best decision I could have made for myself. The band has done is made it easier to maintain my loss.

Hi, I am very happy with the band. I have been able to maintain my weight loss for almost 4 years. I am no longer diabetic. It is such a freeing thing to no be starving all the time. Mona

I am very happy! I am sitting in a pair of zipper front jeans that I have not had on in at least three years with no muffin top! I had my band on 10/16/09 and I have had no problems with anything.  These pants encourage me to do what I need to do and not what I want to do.  No more spandex!

BOTH.  I love the weightloss, albeit SLOW.  HOWEVER, the band makes for a very difficult lifestyle.

A lot of days I wish I had had RNY or something else.  The embarrassing stuck episodes and all the vomiting are huge negatives for me.  I've had a lot of pain from adhesions/excess scar tissue.  And I'm not losing.  So I don't exactly regret it at this point, but I wonder if I can live like this for the rest of my life.  I am not a participant since all social gatherings are around food and all I do is throw up if I eat (MOST of the time)... I spend my time in restaurants in the bathroom sliming and vomiting; same at family gatherings and parties if I try to eat anything.  Over it.  Can you tell?

But without the band, I never would have lost 48 pounds.  I could never get more than 20 or so off.

Wow, I'm sorry you're having such a hard time...but do you think your band's too tight? I just spent 2-3 months doing what you did, and finally had a small unfill and omg I feel so much better. I'm losing weight again and I can eat!

Absolutely, it turns out my band was TOO tight and it certainly made me miserable!! I haven't had a single stuck episode since my little unfill (only about .2 cc's removed). My only fear is that I'm going to be eating too much to lose. But I couldn't live that way, life is so much better now!! Lex

You will feel SO much better!!  I had the same concern that I'd start eating more and I didn't...I just started eating the right foods and my weight loss continued.  Glad to hear you've feeling better!
