Rash under stomach apron
My dermatologist told me this years ago.. that they would document my recurring rash (a yeast infection) in my chart so any stomach plastic surgery would be covered.
DO NOT put powder like Zeabsorb right on a violent outbreak -- it will hurt like the dickens and not heal. My doctor gave me some Nystatin via prescription and you have to be very diligent about applying several times a day. The Zeabsorb (which is very expensive by the way) then can be used to keep reoccurence at bay.
I was banded April 20, 2009.

I am on the side of the anti-fungal posts here - I think antibios would make it worse. Keep dry and let the air to it and then use anti-fungal powder or cream (powder if it is wet and weepy as it dries it).

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
I was just googling because I have a rash there too. I've had them before but rarely but I have been doing a LOT of walking and of course sweating. It sucks! It's itchy too! I know this post is 7 years old but I know someone else will find this post someday.
How I take care of it is with medicated powder (or any cornstarch based powder) and either a washcloth at night or a thick paper towel during the day. I normally put deodorant in there after showers but not when there's the rash. I only need an hour for it to get damp in there again so a paper towel is a must all day long. Lots of powder and paper towels or a dry cloth! I've just never had it this long (about 4 days now) It's always been gone in a day or so.
I always wished I could get that surgery that someone posted about on the first page (panuscolectomy)... I HATE this "apron" I have. It also doesn't help I'm 5'1" and weigh 176 lbs. (I WAS 190... I've lost 14 in the last few months and I've been really bad lately.. doing good all day and then eating crap at night. :( )
Oh... to add to this.. I have a c-section scar that itches sometimes.... so the ra****ches and that causes the scar to itch or vice versa.. It's so annoying!
