Just to clarify I was just honestly RAMBLING about OTHER DRIVERS driving faster than I which is the truth, I have enough sense not to mention that to a judge,  I did not say what I would be saying in court --- I just stated the facts and truth here and questioning why I got a ticket WHEN MOST was going way faster than I ...my point was I am not guilt of the charge of 91 miles in a 65 zone...that's my point.....we don't have to go to any driving school here unless it is DUI...or Reckless driving OR MANY MANY tickets...and I have not of  those -- yet.

Is there a difference in points against your license going 91 versus 78 MPH? Is so, fight it. If not, since VA and MD are reciprocal states, pay it, you were speeding and got caught, period.

I think there IS a difference you get more points the faster you are going that is what I am told...this is why I am thinking about fighting it...normally I would just pay it and keep going and let it be on  boo boo on my license...but since I beleive the officer may an error in calibrating the speed this is what I am questioning.....I dont think I would have been CHARGE going 78.....this is within the saftety grace zone and 91 is not...

Ya know Naomi...you were speeding and you are guilty...not of going 90, but 78 in a 65 mile zone in my book says you were speeding and actually you set it for 78!  I say pay the ticket (it is the honest thing to do), but I would want it clear that your speed was 78, not 90!!

The law is black and white...you were speeding or you were not.  The fact that everyone else was speeding too is really not the issue.  And all the  "extenuating" cir****tances are not the issue either.   What were you doing?  As far as the points...I don't know what to say.  We are adults and need to be responsible for our actions.

I'd say this was a good lesson to use cruise control responsibly.

Thanks Pepsi for your response and opinion, although I was going over the 65mph speed limit, I was NOT going 91 as stated on the ticket,  so my point was should I pay the ticket although I was not guilty of going 91 mph; I don't have a problem paying the ticket;  that was the whole point of my post, my point was should I fight it because I am not guilty of going 91-mph, I do have honesty and integrity trust me my job depends on that every single day.

Also I delted a lot of the specifics justifying why I was going a bit over the speed limit to blend in with the traffic which is not a good excuse, but hey when folks are flashing you for being too slow...what's a girl to do, but unfornately I got ticketed....

actually, if you closely read what she originally stated, she had set her speed control to 78 and had not yet acheived it. The ticket IS for 91. Here, that would be loss of license or at least an 8 point ticket. As a matter of fact, the judge would take the license right in court and verify that you had a ride home. Calibration is so routine that unless she presents expert testimoney regarding the methode of calibration (cost a lot for that testimony) She will be guilty of 91 UNLESS the prosecutor offers a reduction. Many judges across the nation are no longer doing much reduction because of the high fatality rates and revenue does play a part as well. You got the ticket, the radar detoctor, which is admissable and considered proof, will convict the driver. So, to say she was NOT driving 91 appears to not be true UNLESS there is no radar gun and it was a conclusion made by the officer based on experience...then it is NEAR proof.

DAMN!! BANANA or whatever you are....you have already shown your TRUE colors of bigotry over a year ago with Obama, I will not elaborate, but people like you who are in law enforcement scares me......why are you so concerned about this ticket? It is just a simple freaking speeding ticket, not DUI, not reckless driving, not vehicle homicide...GEE. you act as if this is something very serious, this is just a simple traffic speeding ticket  going a little over the speed limit, I was honest and admitted that,-- I AM NOT EXPERIENCED WITH GETTING TICKETS  or going to court, I am not a criminal and NEVER BEEN TO COURT so I was just asking those who have detested a traffic ticket what was their out come -- hell I can pay the ticket on line and forget about it and who knows I may not get points since I don't tickets on my driving record but I just wanted feedback from those who have had a ticket and did not get points...

I already questioned the officer for stopping me and he admitted that I can fight it in court...if it was that DAMN serious as YOU APPARENTLY WANT IT TO BE the officer would have locked me up and put me in jail...but how in the hell can he lock me up on a simple speeding ticket???? I know I did not do anything wrong this is why I asked the boards for advice I DO NOT NEED YOUR BIASED ADVICE....  I sure hell will not post the outcome on this board because you seemed to have a hard on for me........GEESH.....WITCH you are turning a simple post into a witch hunt...you are nothing but A FREAKING TROUBLE MAKER AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A PROSECUTOR ---HA! It is monsters like you why most of my posts get dumped on the R&R board....you are a sorry excuse for a human being...

Nothing you have added to my post was meaningful NOR helpful...YOU KNOW NOTHING!!! And you call yourself an attorney and you can't even freaking spell properly go and work your freaking band and concentrate on your weight loss witch...and you can't try to research my ticket because I NEVER EVER use my REAL name on these boards...and the last name IS NOT B. on my drivers licenses....haha.....

People like you NEED TO BE ON BLOCK and that is what I am gonna do right now.....

I just began reading this post, and am curious what the outcome will be....that is, if you actually go to court or just pay the damn ticket......

Me, I would pay the damn ticket and just chalk it up to learning my lesson......but hey, everyone is different and that is what makes the world go 'round!
