How much a fill hurts: a comparison
Breaking my femur
Getting smashed in the nose with a baseball bat
my spinal and epidural failing during and after my c-section for daughter
Tearing a thigh muscle
my cat stepping off on my ear and sctatching ear cartilage with his claw
spraining my knee
staples out of c-section scar and hip
blood draw
mosquito bite
port fill (hopefully!)
But seriously, fills are not a big deal. Usually, they insert the needle through scar tissue from the surgery, which is already numb. They don't hurt, they're just mildly uncomfortable, because it's a strange sensation when the needle enters the port. It's just pressure... not pain.
My pain list, just for shnitz & gigs:
-Hockey stick in the mouth
-Dislocated shoulder
-Sprained ankle
-Ingrown toenail
-Cramps
-Cat scratch
-Getting a fill

These posts have been fun to read!
MOST painful to LEAST painful (to look at this list you would think I am totally deformed !)
Biopsy of jaw bone tumor (middle of ***** without anesthesia with a really thick biopsy needle - I swear it is just as if they punched a hole through my skull...
Severe (crying all the time) back pain for 6 weeks after being hit by a drunk driver
Appendicitis - waiting for my parents to come home from work
Surgery for the above jaw tumor (you don't want to know but thankfully I'm not disfigured)
Tooth problems requiring root canal
Giving birth to my 3 kids in 1hr 40 minutes each without anesthesia
Running into trees while skiing and spraining my knee (it still is less flexible)
Getting hit in the face with by a thrown baseball bat
Getting punched in the stomach by a boy in 6th grade
Scraping off the palm of my hand while riding a skateboard downhill on my stomach (duh)
Plantar Fasciitis (can't get rid of it!)
Migraines
Burning my arm with an iron
Sore muscles from Crew team at Univ of Washington
Lap Band surgery - sore muscles and gas hurt more than the incisions
Drawing blood every month
Flu shots = Fills? Don't know yet but I doubt they'll bother me
By now I'm pretty pain tolerant... unfortunately. : )
