CONGRATULATIONS !!!!! I am excited for you winning tickets to the NOLA conference. I would LOVE to meet up with you there. I'm not too hard to find. Just look down. LOL I am only 5'1" and most people tower over me. I look just like my photo and Kim and many others that work for OH know me. You will really enjoy the conferences.....they are SO much fun !!! Can't wait to get to the NOLA conference. I will be driving in from Fort Worth, Texas. so it will be a long drive. Can't wait to meet you and others. This is my 4th OH Conference.

I am thinking hard about the sleeve and shooting for mid September. I have been through all the approvals from the heart doctor, family doctor, psych doctor last week. As soon as all the approvals are in, Dr Lavin's office submits to insurance for final approval. So for now, I am waiting. How far are you along on your jouney?

isn't it a great feeling........................ I was on 46 meds before......................now I take one glucophage.............and fixing to be able to get off that soon!!!!!!!!!!!

they are VERY unorganized group!!!!! CALL, CALL...............bug the crap out of them!!!!! It is worth the wait....................but there office, you speak to one person, and another.......... and nobody will remember you calling when you call back, it is very aggravating, but surgery for me was a life saver.

Hey sorry to hear that you are going thru this like some of us have. It took her a month to send mine. Some have even stopped waiting and then was surprised to get her approval. Its a hassel but now all you can do is wait. Call medicaid and see if they have recieved it. I called at least twice a week and aggrivated Sheila until it was sent lol. I have no qualms about pestering someone to get something done. As for how the hospital was I have nothing negative to say about my stay. I was treated so good and everyone was so nice. But other have told me that theirs was not near as good. So I guess it depends on whats going on when you are there. I am just very glad to be on this side of the surgery and absolutely have no regrets except i wish he would have went a little smaller but I am happy. Good luck girl and all I can say is LOTS AND LOTS of patience.....Sherri
