My surgery is scheduled for may 9th. what are you ladies doing to take off the 20 lbs ? i'm just curious.

I am really excited about my upcomming surgery! I met Dr. Bellows today. He's extremely calm and courteous not to mention very good looking! He took time to answer all my questions and explained a few things about the surgery to me.
Vanessa was there and she is helping me find out about my blood pressure medication. The Pre admit
anesthesiologist told me not to take my medication prior to the surgery. I think that would be a negative impact on my body because, I would be hypertensive when arrived for the surgery. And, that would make me unfit for surgery aghhhhhhhhh..... Vanessa says she will find out for me, and if Vanessa says she will do something.....she does it! I will continue to keep you all posted. I hope you do the same.

Sugery for Dr. Bellows is always at Tulane downtown.Vanessa will call you and set up an appt. for you prior to your preop to go get weighed in at Tulane/Lakeside. My pre-admit and pre-op apts.are both on Feb 28th.
I went to the Cardiologist and had a EKG, Ultasound, and a stress test all on the same day. I went back 2 days later for results and a medical clearance. Make sure when you do this that your cardiologist faxes over results for each individual test plus the clearance form.
I learned yesterday that we have to have our referrals updated every year
Being it is now 2012 I had to do this. I have Louisiana Healthcare connections
now and according to my PCP we dont need refferals anymore. But Vanessa says we do. long story short, she got an updated referral.

I am really excited. I weighed in at less than my home scale says I weigh. Vanessa says my surgery is on for the 21st of March. She called in a prescription of Go Lightly to my pharmacy. I'm not looking forward to drinking all that, LOL! But I will. It comes with a few different flavor packs, so I'm not sure whch one I will try. Anyone with suggestions as to which flavor is more tolerable please let me know.
