I just had surgery by Dr. Bellows on March 21st. I have to admit waiting was frustrating. Vanessa does change things quite often as far as weight loss goes. Put it this way, He doesn't like to operate on pateints who are over the 50 BMI so If you are, drop the weight and you will be operated on quicker.

THAT WAS EXACTLY MY REASON FROM SWITCHING TO SELF PAY. I HAD BEEN GOING THRU 15 MONTHS OF TRYING TO GET THINGS WITH MEDICAID. I FINALLY GOT APPROVED BUT MY SURGERY WAS NOT UNTIL OCTOBER 3 TENATIVE-COULD HAVE BEEN LATER WHEN THE TIME GOT CLOSER. I WAS THANKFULLY ABLE TO AFFORD DR BORLAND 9,800. I WENT IN FOR MY APPT ON MARCH 26, HAD MY BLOOD TEST, XRAY AND EKG AND SAW THE DOCTOR AND WAS ABLE TO PAY AND SCHEDULE MY SURGERY FOR APRIL 17. THEY THEN HAD AN OPENING AND I WAS MOVED UP TO APRIL 9. I HAVE TO BE ON AN ALL LIQUID DIET SAT AND TAKE TWO BOTTLES OF CITRATE ON SUNDAY AND READY TO GO MONDAY MORNING.

I Have been going to Dr Bellows for 9 months now I did everything I was supposed to but evertime I go back his pa tell me something different .first I need to loose 20pounds then 25 now 30 I have never even seen the dr I don't know what else to do is anyone else haveing a trouble.and when ever i get data from my dr for them they say its not right and it take me so long to get a call back from his pa one time I waited 3 months for her to return my call.is there a nother dr I can go to I'm so depressed over this.has any one really had surgy from him? plus they eat up all my medicade vistes thanks plesae help .

WOW! That is quick! Do you mind me asking how much it is? Tulane's review board let me change surgeons to Dr. Noria. Dr. Bellows didn't want to let me change surgeons, even though he is backed up til October, but the review board let me switch! YAY! I have an appt with Dr. Noria, yes the surgeon and not just her nurse, on Monday to discuss any last minute questions and I will be getting a date hopefully by the end of the month. Do you have a pre-op diet for Dr. Bordelon? Glad your waiting game is over! Keep me posted!

Dr. Gachassin and Eschete in Lafayette do their Sleeve for $11,500 out of pocket. That includes up to three nights in the hospital, as well as a year of follow up with the surgeon and bariatric team. A bunch of other stuff is included as well. Hope that helps! :)

Hello, I'm not sure of Dr. Bellanger's price, but I had surgery with his partner Dr. Hargroder, who is an excellent surgeon. They both work out of the same clinic and hospitals. The time frame from consult to surgery was pretty quick, I had my consult on 1/16/12 and my surgery was on 2/28. I'm not sure which surgery you're looking into, but the out of pocket price for the sleeve at Woman's Hospital is $14,300.00 with Dr.Hargroder.
