Topic: RE: Dr. Bellanger in Baton Rouge?
I used Dr. Hargroder. I was self-pay at $14,800 all inclusive with 5 yr post-op f/u. His years of experience and confidence won me over. I went for an info visit and scheduled my surgery in less than 2 weeks. All pre-op testing handled at Woman's Hospital on the same day. Happened so quickly I had little time to be anxious. Besides, I let my imagination run wild at times and the procedure and recovery is a breeze! I'm so glad I'm on the other side now and ready for my new life to blossom... Let me know if I can help you. Dr. Jonathan Taylor at the BR Clinic is also a talented surgeon and wonderful person. He also suffers from asthma! Katie

How many post op visits did you have to attend for Dr. Bellows? For me it's once every 3 weeks.

You are truely a remarkable person to be able to put up with all the **** I personally would have serious talk with Vanessa. I am so glad your surgery is over with and you are now a member of the loosers bench!
The gas will subside shortly and you'll be able to go about your normal life.

Ok after being postponed on the 18th they called me tuesday at 6 p.m. to tell me my surgery was wednesday morning at 5:15 a.m. I was in shock and even asked the nurse if someone was playing a trick on me, she said it was no trick and could i be there wednesday morning. Of course I said yes and rushed around repacking everything and making arrangements. I found that it was unusual that Vanessa didn't call me herself and tell me my surgery was scheduled. I am so glad it is over. Now I'm dealing with extreme gas in my chest and I have been walking and sipping ever since I got home. Thank you everyone who told me not to give up on myself.
You survived what you thought would kill you. Now straighten your crown and go forward like the Queen you are!

I am so sorry this happened to you. Hopefully they fix the problem soon and you are rescheduled fairly quickly! Seems like there is always something that us Medicaid patients have to deal with. Good luck!!!!

Topic: postponed again
Yesterday I was in Tulane Hospital to be sleeved and they had some kind of problem with the oxygen in the operating room. There were about 6 of us waiting on surgeries of different kinds and they came in and told us that our surgeries had been cancelled and would be rescheduled later. Needless to say I was upset because I had paid for a hotel room and rented a car to get there. This was the third time I have been postponed since I started this journey in 2010. I don't know if I will ever get to have my surgery. I can't change hospitals because I am on Medicaid. I just want to eat everything in sight and go to bed and sleep it off. Thanks for letting me vent I knew ya'll would understand what I have been going through.
