YES, IF YOU ARE ON MEDICAID AND GO THOUGHT OCHSNER U HAVE TO DO THE 6MONS WITH THEIR DIETITIAN. I AM ON MY 2ND VISIT NOW. BUT THAT TIME FLY BY SO GIVE IT A TRY.
Does anyone kno anyone closer to north louisiana that does the Psych evaluation on medicaid or for less than 200 $...i found a lady in New Orleans but I rather check my options closer to home before making that 5 hour drive
Not to brinbg n a cloud but FYI Ochsner has U use their Nutritionist and U pay nothing. In case yall have to do the 6 mths and dont want or cant pay
Let me tell you , you will see him he will talk with you to see why you want it ..explain the procedure , then you will go see the nutritionist up the street from him there they will charge you 45.00 up front ..and thats it you will meet up with the same people after surgery

have you had your first visit yet i contacted this dr as well and i am in the process of making my first appt. just wondering what to expect.
I believe so, i had Medicaid and Medicare as a secondary.
I might be wrong in your situation, but I think had the same thing the 6 month thing is due to your insurance it's actually 6 classes you need to attend for you insurance to consider it I went ever other week and paid cash for the classes they were $55 a class I would ask your dietitian about this mine encouraged us to do this to speed up the process.

My doctor was Dr. Carson Cunningham I highly recommend him if you decide to go with their practice.
feel free to email me if you have any questions I respond quicker that way.
Do they accept Medicaid? Now we have to do a 6 mth dietitian visit before approval.
Oh wow that's taking a while. I had my surgery in 2011 a lot has changed with the policies since then
