Yes, the support group meets at 6:30 p.m. the first Thursday of every month at OLOL Hospital in Baton Rouge in the room across from the cafeteria. It's a great meeting and I encourage everyone who has had weight loss surgery to attend. From 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. there is an informational meeting for people considering weight loss surgery. I had the sleeve almost 2 1/2 years ago and I have only missed a few meetings. I think attending the meetings is very important to the success of your weight loss journey.

My friend has BCBS TX and LA and i did notice that Dr Bellenger in BR has one covered by BCBS of TX so hopefully she ahs luck there. She is willing to appeal several times

There's a GREAT DR in Houma his name is Mark Peters.....his website is drmarkpeters.com check him out very goodand highly recommended by alot of people...

Dr. Chung is Awesome..I had him for my gastric bypass..I could not ask for a better person to do my surgery ..I had the roux en y gastric bypass and everything went great..No complications and he is the sweetest man and the most professional..His staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable..Good luck with everything and I hope everything goes as smoothly as mine..

Soooo I saw Dr.Chung today he was GREAT........I have BCBS of TX and I currently have the lapband but im having it taken out and the bypass done....well I thought I would have to do the 3 month requirement but I dont cause my dr notes frommy lapband was good enough now I just have to do the Physic elevation than smitt all the paper workand wait and see....

What BCBS do u have cause I have BCBS of TX and it doesnt cover the sleeve at all....
