WLS is an exclusion on my BCBS policy.
They're not paying for it noway nohow.
So I'm cash paying.

Hey Kaylee's mom...I've just joined the site a couple weeks back. I had my surgery on Feb 17th and was at the meeting last week. I will be there this month as well. Should we wear nametags? lol I hope you're doing well with your weight loss...I am down 31 lbs after 6 weeks.

Topic: Any testimonials for Drs. in Louisiana???
I am centrally located between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Can anyone give me testimonials about a Dr. that they used in the southern region of Louisaina (Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, etc.) and what the cost was if you were a cash pay??

How are you, Sue? I'm not attending or leading the support group meetings, but they are still being held the first Thursday of each month. I might make some or plan some weekend events after the school year ends for the kids.

This journey is not about pants sizes, but it's probaby the funniest sidebar to a very serious life-or-death fight. After my Size 18 shorts started to head south at a family gathering, I discovered this thing called A BELT.
These belts are magical devices that will help you bridge the gap between one size to the other without breaking obscenity laws or getting offers for a 'happy ending.' I'm adding this picture to my progression that starts and ends with the same Size 28 pair of pants.

A few years ago, I told myself I would never take the "I've-lost-so-much-weight-I-can-fit-into-one-side-of-my-pants" photo. However, we were playing around with the pants and this photo made its way to the Internet:

No Schauzers were harmed in the making of this photograph.
I would love to lose another 40-50 pounds, but I am grateful for the wealth of health improvements I've experienced and I pray I can continue to exercise and keep a great metabolism.
Keep your pants up, gang!
Frances

It hurt something awful, but the Spencer Redskin Chief has bowed to pressure and showed some support this year for the Saints. We saw a lot of Cowboy fans at the parade and I managed to keep him out of any fights.
We are crazy excited about Donovan going to Washington. I don't think we got the respect he deserved in Philly and, no offense, I think he can take your boys, old or not. It's going to be a great season of expectations and drama.

I am very excited about your journey. It's going to fly by. In less than a year, I've lost over 100 pounds and my hubby dropped a whopping 70 of his own. We have comtemplated weight loss surgery for him, but were waiting to rebound from the cost of mine.
Life has been full of fun, energy and excitement for me. In this next picture, I have the same shorts on from my first signature picture below. In my first picture, I'm in a Size 28 jean shorts. I tried to grab them this week to run outside and I couldn't manage to keep them up. I'm in pretty thick and solid, but somewhere between 18 and 16.

There's a lot of debate on the steps we take to get thinner, but when I read my normal blood sugar levels or see the "ONE" medication I take daily, I know I will live longer and be there for my precious little one until she is an adult and can take care of herself.
Victory ... in our lifetime, my brother. We will have victory on this side as well as the other side.
Peace and cheers!
Frances
