Okay guys i changed doctor in the last year are so.Did my old doctor fax my medical records to the doctor that i'm seeing now?If so then that's good if not I've got a big problem.I have been dieting on my own and under doctor's supervision but mostly on my own.I dont know if that's enough for them to clear me for.I pray to god it is.

I used to live in the Upper Penisula....I live in West Monroe....

Dr. Merriman (in Shreveport) is my doctor....I love and trust him. As Connie told you...we do have a support group meeting the first Thursday of every month...but you have to be a patient of his. We would love to see you. His phone number is 318-222-3132.

There is also Dr.Barnes, Dr. Jones and Dr. Norwood in Shreveport. I know very little about them.

Dr. Sartor in Monroe is a bariatric surgeon here and I know nothing about his support group. Dr. Zizzi just began WLS and is doing the lap bands.

My husband had Gastric Bypass in 2003...I had the lap band in 2007 and will be having a revision at some point.

my PCP wrote a note on his script pad as well and dr bellows accepted it.
however, you gotta have ALL of your records sent to him. without that, their isnt much he can do, they need that medical history to go towards getting you approved. if you have an questions that you need answered, let me know because i have a floow-up appointment wednesday and i may be able to get some of your questions answered.
