Hello from OH Events! It’s time again to join your friends at an OH event and kick up your heels! We have so much fun at the events, reconnecting with old friends and meeting new friends we may have met on the boards! We learn together, laugh together and sometimes even dance together! TLC's Big Medicine: Dr. Garth Davis Dr. Davis has opened the new Davis Clinic, with a comprehensive weight management program to treat the disease of obesity. On stage at this conference, he will help us understand why the foods we eat make us gain weight. Meet Dr. Davis at his exhibit table, where his book, The Expert’s Guide to Weight Loss Surgery will be on sale.  

TLC's Big Medicine: Mary Jo Rapini. LPC Mary Jo is passionate about helping you know how to strengthen your relationships, and she will Wow you with her presentation! This year, Mary Jo’s presentation is about Getting your Mojo back, and yes, she does get a little spicy! She is the author of Is God Pink? Dying to Heal and co-author of Start Talking: A Girl’s Guide for You and Your Mom About Health, Sex or Whatever.   

Dave Fouts, Bariatric Chef Chef Davehas a passion to help bariatric patients overcome their challenges with food choices following surgery. Being a post op himself, he focuses on teaching people how to shop and cook healthy recipes and how to make wise choices while eating out. Since he and his wife have two children at home, Chef Dave is dedicating much of his time fighting childhood obesity and is developing school lunch programs in Oklahoma that will contribute to healthier lifestyles. His newest cook book will be available for purchase. 

Connie Stapleton, Ph.D. Dr. Stapletonis a licensed psychologist and owner of Mind/Body Health Services in Augusta, GA. She is an expert in recovery from addictions of all sorts, and her passion is the mental, physical and spiritual health of parents and families. Her book, Eat it Up! The Complete Mind/Body Guide to a Full Life Following Weight Loss Surgery will be available for purchase.
 
Dan Benintendi is an OH Support Group Leader,  inspirational post-op and athlete.  Dan shed morbid obesity and has since transformed his life. He lost 201 pounds in 14 months and has completed 10 triathlons.  Dan's participation in races helps him raise money to assist with funding childhood obesity awareness programs and activities.  

Annessa Chumbley, RD 
is a dietician that specializes in working with bariatric patients.  Annessa's approach is to encourage people to embrace wellness in every aspect of their lives.  Her forte is creating healthy recipes, wellness presentations and cooking demos as part of her company, Flourish LLC .  Annessa is also a published writer, OH professional blogger, public speaker and has a dynamic nutrition segment on CBS WISH-TV Indy Style.   

Bo McCoy, WLS Post Op and Motivational Speaker Have you joined in one of Bo’s Conga lines yet? Bo is our host for events again this year, and he makes it his mission to get you motivated and out of your seat! We’re very pleased to have Bo again for 2010!

I didn't have my sleeve with Dr. Borland but I have heard the name.  I had my sleeve surgery with Dr. Phillip Gachassin in Lafayette thru Lafayette General Medical Center.  He is a great surgeon and has a fantastic Bariatric program with 2 support group meeting per month.  Had no problems or complications prior to surgery or post-op.

I dont have a date yet either. I am waiting on my approval which should come at the end of this month if it takes as long for approval as I have heard. I have my stress test tomorrow. Wish me luck on that one haha. You will be on that losers bench before you know it girl. Glad you are doing better...Sherri

hi girl happy to be back no i dont have a date  just got out the hospital friday and he clear me . when u have your sugery please let me know
