thanks to everyone for your concern and prayers; it is now 2am 10/28 and i have finally come to grips with this after such a long day of pity party!!! i am calling surgeon's office again today and try set up for surgery sooner, especially if there is a cancellation...thanks for all the advice and love....ida

Well, I had my RNY on Monday 10/25/10. Surgery went good, pain meds were great! D/C last night. Today was rough! My belly is very swollen, tried to get my protein shake down, made me even more blotted. So much to keep up with........ 80 grams of protein, 48 oz fluids, MVI, calcium, B12. Don't forget the pain! Taking it 1 day at a time. :}

Did you ask if there are any cancelations that maybe you could have your surgery earlier.  i am sorry that it is so far away. I agree that I am ready to be on the losing side. Keep up the hope. Please dont be sad. It is a long road but at least there is an end to it. Some people never get to the end because of denials or lack of money. I know that you can do this. I have faith in you. i need support please...finally got lab work that is now in normal range, and infection is all cleared up...received call from my surgeon's office today and surgery now scheduled for: DECEMBER 14th; omg, how in the world am i gonna wait that long.....i have been so hyped up to get this surgery and now the wind is really gone out of my sails...i am tired of reading about everyone's progress and i am so ready to live it for myself...all preop tests will have to be redone the week before surgery, and somehow i am gonna have to find the strength to go thru all that again...dear god, please help me...
