I have been lurking here and on the other forums learning what I can and keeping my fingers crossed. I had my consultation with Dr. Chung on Oct. 20th and received the call today that my insurance has approved my sleeve!!!!Scheduled my surgery for the Nov. 19th Make room on the loser's bench.
Re
Ida, hang in there. It will happen. I waited a whole year before my surgery because the office staff lost my insurance information (I lived in Michigan then). I had to have my pre-op internist appointment redone, bloodwork, etc., plus they wanted me to meet again with their behaviorist, which would have cost me another $170 out of my own pocket (insurance didn't pay for it). I got out of that because I was already seeing a psychologist.
Good things come to those who wait. I know, I hate cliches too (after I got laid off, all I heard was "When God closes a door, he opens a window," or something like that.. I was so sick of hearing it.)
In the year of waiting, I injured my right knee again and had to have it scoped, my right foot had some weird injury that gave me so much pain I couldn't even exercise in the pool comfortably. When I met with the internist for the second time, he asked why I hadn't had my surgery ... at that point, I had gained weight. I told him the problem with the insurance. He said I should been on the list long before and said let's get you scheduled. So then, I had to keep calling their scheduler and bugging her. Finally, she called ... and then there was a conflict with my nephew's wedding. So I had to wait another month. But the wait was worth it.
You will manage it. I know it's hard to wait. I waited so long. I was 49 when I got my surgery done. I always considered it was my rebirthday. I know it's hard to hear about everyone's progress. You want to start on your own new life.
If you need to talk, I live in Monroe now ... moved here recently and don't have any friends. I'm very lonely. Just have my cat. Take care of yourself. Get your body ready for the changes you'll go through. It's a great journey.

My point is, you will be moving around better soon, pain will get much less, and any type of nutritional foods(blended soups, etc.) that you are allowed to have will make you feel better.
Hang in there.
