Sherri, the support meetings are very easy to find when you enter the hospital. They are in a conference room that is the 1st door on the right after walking in thru main entrance. Let me know if you plan on going to the meeting in Dec. and I could wait for you in the parking lot to go in together. You also do not have to reserve a seat.
They usually have refreshments, iced tea and crystal light and usually veggie soup. They also sometimes bring sample packets of protein mixes.

Only a few people have been denied by medicaid.............. and that was lack of documentation. Once all that is turned in to them they approve you. I had the sleeve done by Dr. Bellows on 9-22-10 and have lost 86 pounds! Good luck with your journey!

hi everyone, i'm new to the board, have LA medicaid because my blood pressure issues caused me to go on dissability.  I've had these health related issues for over 3 years, along with obesity. my PCP refered me to dr bellows as i have also done a sleep study and do have apnea.  i'm just so afraid of rejection !

Hey Gwen. No there are not support groups in Vinton. OH has been my group for a long time. Thanks for telling me about the one at Women's and Childrens. How do I find out more about the meetings. Like where at in the hospital and and do I need to reserve a seat.  Congrats on your recent surgery. I have to go all the way to New Orleans for my surgery.  At Tulane. I hope that it happens soon. I will definitely try to go to the next meeting. Maybe we can meet up there and chat. Thanks for responding to my post. I just had to vent. I am so ready for my surgery to be here.  It will happen when its meant to be.  I guess I just need to be a pest to the Dr office and try to have more patience at the same time. oh girl, i am so sorry you r going thru this..i perfectly understand how frustrated that u r and wanting so much to have your surgery and get on with life...i'll be praying u will get in on wednesday and get that letter done...
