Martha,u are RUDE! I  recieve medicaid through a purchase programe for self employed disabled people that  cannot  obtaine any other insurance. It sounds as iff you are  jelous of those  that  can get surg because they have medicaide, lol,if you read  these post you will  realize  how hard it is to get it and we only have  1  dr in louisiana that will except it.

Topic: RE: Oh Conferences for 2011
Keep talking on the boards to people, and watch for discount codes!  We always issue numerous discount codes for the events.  Just a bit of recap for those who have not been to one: they are just like a big family reunion, except that there is education and information infused throughout.  Friday has an informal Q & A sesssion for pre and post ops, and we invite some grads to be on the panel and some professionals (surgeons, dietitians, psychologists, etc.) and then Saturday we have exhibitors who have free samples for you to try before you buy, free photos with your family or friends, lunch, breakout sessions and then Saturday night, an attendee fashion show (your choice to participate) and dance or just socializing.  We're planning on hitting some fun spots in smaller groups, too since we're in the French Quarter!

Visit this link for more details:  http://www.obesityhelp.com/events/

We'd love to have you!  As some people on the Texas message board about them..they're all about having fun, and they'll give you good info!

Thanks,
Kim

i agree with sherri.. and personally dont think the negative attitude you have towards ppl who currently have to have medicaid is appropriate. here... i mean dont obese ppl have enough negativity towards us as it is?... i do agree that some ppl are not being truthful to get it have seen a guy walk in with brand new jordans and diamond earrings and get gov assistance before... to the other comments you made you may consider that cell phones are now unlimited for $40 a month and internet is free at local libraries...
