Topic: RE: support group
It is for their patients or patients they tak eover. Most support groups are like that. It's important to research the program and surgeon. Our support group is great and critical to patient success

Topic: RE: Baton Rouge Surgeons that do Lap-Band & Gastric Sleeve
I had my surgery in Lafayette with Dr. Gachassin. They charge $11,500 for sleeve. I think the band is only a little bit more. Great program too and I heard best sleeve prices around.

Hi Mary. I had surgery with Dr. Gachassin and they didn't have any book buying? All you pay upfront is your insurance required deductible or out of pocket.

Topic: RE: BCBS state group
BCBS of Louisiana has an exclusion for bariatric surgery. Unless you have a self-funded plan there is no coverage. The state group has no coverage so not sure how your boss got approved.

Topic: Hey OH
Hey guys. Recovering well. I am down 44 pounds total. I feel good. Aunt Flo has visited so I am a bit tired now but cant seem to stop and rest. If I try and take a nap all I do is lay there. My body wants to move. I eat pretty much what I want just in really small amounts. I still have a hard time getting in my liquids. I am only averaging 23-33oz a day. I feel like I am drinking all the time. Purple onions do not like me. lol. I had trouble in the beginning with stomach spasms that felt like contractions but those are gone now thank goodness. They were painful. I did develop an infection under one of my incision that had to be opened back up drained and I had to pack it for a while now it is almost closed up. other than that I am good and well on my way to healthy. I am sooooo glad to be on this side of the surgery. Now it is all up to me to lose the weight. Anyone thinking of having the surgery please don't wait. It is the best thing you can do for yourself and your loved ones. You are worth it to live a longer healthier life. It feels good to have the restriction to keep me from over eating. I have no regrets.

Topic: Complications Insurance
Can anyone give me information on complication insurance? The surgeon is offering it for $500. Are there any other policies available for less money?
