HELP,I can't loose weight!!
OK so I have been doing everything right I have been eating good ,sandwiches for lunch or should I say a 1/4 of a 1/4 sandwich ,, either nothing or cream of wheat for breakfast, and for dinner fish and maybe some veggies ,, if I snack I eat pickles or something like that,, I knew the first 1 or 2 I didn't loose weight I needed to step it up alot,, so I even started working out,, I mean working ,, I am doing 30-45mins on the elliptical machine and then weights everyday ,, I don't know what the problem is ,, I haven't lost any weight in like 3wks,, well give or take the same 2-4 pds that keep bouncing around,, I am stuck on like 242-246,,, I hate it,, I don't know what else to do,, I know maybe go back to all protein,, but don't know what else to do. Can someone PLEASE give me some advice,, I did not have this surgery to only loose 63pds and not anymore especially at not even 3months out,, HELP PLEASE,, I am sooo depressed about my weight,, EVERYONE keeps asking so how much have you lost this week and I keep saying umm just a lil,, I am soo ashamed,, PLEASE HELP,, I know 63 pds is alot to some people but please try to look at it from my angle,, I haven't lost any weight in like 3wks ,,
Ash don't be ashamed the weight will start to come off again. It's a plateau it happens. It will break I promise. My first one lasted three or four weeks just keep up with what your doing and it will start coming off again and make sure your drinking your protein too. You can't get it from food yet and it will help you to lose too. Don't get discouraged it happens to all of us it will pass.

I know you have done soo good with your weight loss and I am trying to get off about 80pds before the cruise,, can you give me some idea's on what you eat and what I can eat thats high protein,, should I be worried about eating alot of cheese ,eggs,and meat b/c its high fat,, b/c thats what I am thinking and why I go for more low fat things,, thanks any advice from a professional helps!!!
No you should not be worried about cheese, eggs and meat that is what you should be eating high protein foods. For lunch eat a half of a chicken breast or half of a hamburger patty then for dinner eat the other half. that is what I do. And through out the day for snacks I eat Kraft cheese sticks they come in a one oz servings and they are made from 2% milk so they are lower in fat and calories then the regular ones. I also eat high protein slim fast bars. You can find them in the cereal isle at Wal-mart or in the protein stuff. They don't taste bad and have 15 grams of protein and lots of other stuff that is good for you too. I like the chocolate chip ones don't care for peanut butter but they have peanut butter flavor ones too.
And when I have the hamburger patty I put lettuce tomato, onion ketchup and mustard with a pickle no bread. It's a little messy but it is good. And that way I don't feel like I'm being deprived.

Stay away from certain fruits to they have real high natural sugars, eat them but do it in moderation. A banana has 200 calories so if you eat one just eat half. Do you like grapefruit. I use to love it with sugar, can't do that now but I do sprinkle splenda on it and it taste marvelous even better to me than regular sugar.
That's all I can think of right now, but if you have any foods in mind I will be glad to tell you about them.
And drink your protein that is a big part of it. Do you drink milk. If you can stand the fat free milk drink it. I drink at least a glass a day for calcium and it has 8 grams of protein in it.

Thanks soooooooooo much,, Hey I wanted to ask you what is that site you use,, fitday or something,, I think I will try to use that,, Oh and about those bars,, I used to eat them on atkins but geesh after having soo many on atkins I think I am soooo sick of them,, Alot of them seem to have a powdery taste,, like very grainy,, I bought one from walgreens the other day it was a granola peanut butter one and yummy it wasn't grainy at all,, So I may look for it at walmart cause it was $2 at walgreens,, But no sugar and low low calories and fat and like 15g protein,, Also can we avocado's I have been craving them SOOOOO much and eating at least once a day,, damn I hope their ok to have lmao!!! I have about a teaspoon of ranch with them ,, its 30calories and no fat,,, I eat alot of fish alot,, talipa,, cause its low fat,, geesh I never would of thought I could have a hanburger patty ,,wow,, So its kind of like you do atkins right?? I will definitly start doing that,, I will make some homemade hamburger patties tonight ,, can I put mushrooms and onions in them?? I need to know what veggies are ok,, doesn't it tell all that on fitday or whatever it is,,, I do like cheese ALOT,, but thought since it was soo fattening ,, even the 2% is like 5g per stick,, I thought that was too much fat if you have a couple a day,, they told me stay within 20g of fat a day,, or I thought they did,, I don't eat alot of fruit ,, just the carb wise peaches and pinneapple in its own juice,, oh and I had one apple once,,, Ok so I am going to try the semi atkins attempt !!! Oh and I think since the surgery I am semi, lactose ,, cause everytime I drink milk I can only have 1-2 sips and get reallllll full and sick almost,, but I do try and had alot of protein soo far today!!! Thanks again girl I owe you!!
I use sparkpeople it tells you how much sugar is in stuff and fit day doesn't. It has a whole schedule and goals and everything. You just have to go in and figure it out.
And I don't like many protein bars just the slim fast high protein it is new and it is not grainy at all it is a granola type bar with chocolate chips in it.
Yes it is kinda like Atkins, and yes you can have mushrooms an onions but don't over do it with those cause you don't want to fill up on them you want the meat. Remember eat your meat first. Also you can get meat that is lower in fat I think ground chuck is less fatten then ground round. Which ever one is more expensive, but it's only like a buck more and worth it not to get all the fat. If you like turkey they make a ground turkey and it is probably the best for you. You can put it in spaghetti and stuff like that. I make spaghetti for my hubby and son and just eat the sauce with meat in it. The noodles are not good unless you by wheat noodles which they sell at wal-mart.
Most veggies are good bu****ch your potatoes of course, and corn and butter beans are starches so go easy on them. Anything green is safe.
5 grams of fat is fine. My dietitians says no more that five at one time and twice a day would only make ten. Twenty grams in one day is really low your body will think it is starving and you will lose weight slower. You should be eating things like Hamburger meat, chicken breast, eggs, cheese and fish these are high protein foods and they are not that high in fat.
With milk it did me the same way at first but I kept drinking it and now it doesn't bother me. Are you drinking fat free milk?
And apples are a good fruits to eat, they don't have any sugar in them. Here is the info on Avocado's I wouldn't eat but a bite or two to stop the craving they are very high in calories and extremely high in fat, not a good choice at all.

I didn't lose any weight for a month. I sat at 100-105 lbs for a month. Then suddenly the scale moved and there were 18 more pounds gone. You have reached a plateau and I don't know your goal, but if you only had 150-175 lbs to lose I'm thinking the weight loss may start slowing down. According to Dr. O I may never be below 200. Which means I only have about 140 left to lose to get to 200. That could take the next year to lose.
Are you drinking protein shakes? Cuz it definitely doesn't seem like your getting in all of your protein every day from the food you mention. The more protein you get in the more you lose.
Plus on a personal note one of the problems I've had with numbness is contributed to my protein intake...and it is no fun..
You've done great so far, but the faster you lose it the more complications you may have.
