I am finally moving my azz!!!
OK so I am excited to say I am FINALLY moving this a$$,,, My sister's best friend who is soon to be her roommate moved down here last night and she is staying with us til their apt is ready,, and she's a workout freak,, don't know why b/c she's PERFECT in every way,, its sickening , and she's nice,, which makes me hate her more!!! No really I love her!!
Anyway she is now draging me to workout everyday with her,, the weight machine at the center is broken, damn POS apt complex lol,, but the cardio is ok so we do that,, We even went and laid out by the pool today , I wore my 18/20 bathing suit,, OMG I didn't think I would ever fit into that again,, and I actually took off my shirt,, I still felt chubby but not fat so I am making progress!! I am getting soooooooooooooo much extra skin everywhere ,, its gross , so I really have to work on that!!!! I am doing a major upgrade on my profile,, I realized I have never journaled on it and don't have any pic's ,, so I read my whole camera book and finally downloaded all my pic's now I have to figure out how to resize them and post them and I am set,, I have TONSSSSSSSSS of pic's ,,,, I love the camera now,, also I have a sheet of about 25 goals I wanted to accomplish and I never knew I would do some soo soon,, so I need to post those since I am doing some,, like 1 one,, fitting into the bathtub again,, OMG I now fit!!! and also shaving while sitting in the tub, not sitting on the side,, and I did that last week,, I was soo excited I shave every day now!! lmaooooooooooo
Well also today for the first time I ate a sandwhich ,, goshhhhhhhhh it was GOOD,, I had a half of a half and loved it,, My sister is soo mad at me b/c she wants to be able to eat like this she says!!! I still have some fat days and its weird b/c some days I feel bigger than what I was when I started but some days I feel soo small,, Well just wanted to update everyone,, We NEED to figure a time and date we can all get together and go out to eat or something,, a time where we all see each other , other than the meeting,, I think it would be fun,, Does that sound fun to anyone? well hope everyone's good,, I am on cloud 9 today ,, me and liz are sooooooooo happy and had a great weekend together!

I had the same problem witht he clear liquid proteins! When I advacned up to full liquids, I tried the isopure dutch chocolate and it was great. NO protein taste. Have you tried adding sugar free syrups or favors to your drinks. Hershey's has a SF chocolate syrup that I use. Hope this helps. I know exactly how you feel about the protein tastes!!!

I can only stand my protein if it's really, really cold, so I mix it with alot of ice in my blender. I add other flavorings and then I don't smell or taste the protein any more. I know what you're talking about. It can be a real battle. I am 1 1/2 years out and I have at least 1 protein shake a day. I love them, but the key is finding the brand that is right for you. Each of us has differnt taste and I find that I cannot even tolerate some things that other people just love and vice versa. Try to get samples from your friends or order samples from Bariatriceatring.com or other websites. GNC and the Vitamin Shoppe will let you return products that you don't like. I'm sorry to tell you that it's just trial and error at a time when you're already nauseous and not feeling adventurous.

Hello Heidi,
I went thru the same thing. I gagged when I got close to my mouth for the first two and a half months. Then, all of a sudden my taste changed, I crave it now. I use the 100% whey Protein from GNC. It is really good. I mix it in the blender, pulse speed with skim milk and it goes down easily. Stirring the mix leaves it lumpy and too fast in the blender will make it froth up and it doesn't sit well on the tiney tummy. Gotta get it down pretty quick, and with you so early out, I know you can't do that right now, but, later on, it gets much easier.
For the first couple of months, I got in as much cottage cheese as I could stand and refried beans, V8 juice, tomatoe soup, string cheese,Yogart mixed with berries and Splenda, and carnation instant breakfast was tasty too..but the CIB doesn't have a huge amount of protein in it..but something is better than nothing.
If you are like many of us, our tastes keep changeing. Keep trying the protein drinks you may be able to tollerate the smell after a while.
