Recovering from Knee Replacements

Well, it'll make 3 weeks on Tues. since I have had my left knee replaced and so far so good. I've gone 3 days now with no walker. Don't know if that's good or bad, but I'll call my Dr. on Monday and ask. I have had my good and bad days of course. Last night I didn't get much sleep at all. I did a little bit more than I really should have and for that I suffered with a lot of pain. Not even the pain meds were helping. So today I pretty much just lounged around and stayed put. I think I will get a good nights sleep tonight I'll also be glad when I am done giving myself those dang shots!!! I have to give myself a shot a day. (It's a blood thinner) NEVER did I ever think I would give myself any kind of shot!!! Now I can play dot too dot on my tummy OK, I have sat as long as I can handle at this PC and must log off and prop the left leg. Hope everyone is doing well and I will be in touch!! Hugs, Dee

DEEEEEEEEEEEEE,, ((HUGS)))) ,,, I owe you soooo much ,, I am soooooooo sorry I never came and visited you in the hospital,, I don't know if you know but I was hospitalized for the third time around that same time,, then when I got out my mom broke her leg so I have been playing nurse to her,, ohhhh I hate that!!! Also I've been having emotional prob's and relationship prob's,, I am just full of prob's ain't I ?? lol ,, anyway I feel soooooooooooooooooooo bad I never came and saw you , much less haven't called and it's been 3wks ,, I really feel soo bad I haven't know what to say,, But I have been planning on calling you ,, We will have to set a date for me to come visit you ,, I hope your doing ok, if you need anything LET ME KNOW!!!!

Whatever you owe me for, consider it a debt paid with that huge hug!!! Sorry to hear about all the above issues going on. N/P on you not making it up to the hospital for a visit. We all lead busy lives these days. Hope your Mom is doing better! Why were you hospitalized for a third time? I hope everything is OK!!! My personal opinion about the WLS is that we all have mental issues afterwards. Once we are past that part, it's smooooth sailing I've always expressed to anyone that before anyone has the surgery, try your best to be mentally prepared!!! Thanks Rhonda, It has been tough, but I am blessed that it has not been as bad as I expected it to be. I have help from both my husband and daughter, when they are home.... LOL Well, Joe works 10 hours a day and my daughter Sami Jo, well lets just say that she is 17 She's actually been at my oldest daughters house helping her out with my 3 year old granddaughter. Oh Dee--I am hoping weight loss surgery helps me not the have double knee replacement. I didn't fear WLS at all but fear KR so much. I am knocked kneed real bad and my surgeon said If ai lose the weight I may not have to have them replaced but there are no guarantees because of the deformity on the knees.
