You might want to start with something a little less taxing physically.... what I mean is something adapted to BE exercise for the obese, and not something designed for young athletes. I would suggest something fun and simple like "Sweatin to the Oldies" series of DVDs or something that you won't get discouraged by the first or second day of doing it... something that LOOKS easy, so that you STICK with it instead of finding excuses not to. Glad to hear you and Liz are well, here's hoping you are able to finish up school soon and get on with *living* and laughing

Sounds like very good goals. And I know you can accomplish all of them if you put your mind to it. I would check with the doctor about the exercise before I started anything strenuous. My doc told me no aerobic exercise until I could take in enough calories to sustain me. You don't want to burn up calories you can't afford to. They really want you to walk. Glad your doing well and feeling better. Tina -116

Hey Ashleigh, Geez, sorry to hear that was your apt. complex. My mom and I passed it yesterday on our way to Harb's Oasis and had to do this crazy detour. We were wondering what was going on........then we saw the news last night. Such an awful loss. Anyway, you go on the 80 oz..........I struggle to get in 50 at this point. I'm also having a problem eating anything with more substance than cream soup and I'm almost 8 weeks out. It may just be a mental block............I think I'm a quick learner. I got sick twice on more substantial food (tuna, then chicken.......sat on my tummy for hours like a brick) and now I just don't seem to want to bother trying that feeling again for a while. I think you have great goals. Keep up the good work and Keep on smiling. My mom keeps telling me to put on "My big girl panties and deal with it..." every time I start to moan or complain. LOL, so.........keep on keepin' on. Kendra

Ahhhh kendra, Sorry your not doing the best,, Hope it gets better,,, I wish I could say I can't handle much, but I am now to the point where I am almost good as new,, It scares me sometimes how well I handle things,, Although I haven't tested meats, salad, carbs,, things like that,, I do hear chicken is really hard , so I think that will be last on my list,, I have tried a lil fish and it did really good,, so good I ate too much and barfed!!!! I am soooooo sick of soups from that stage my cabinets are full of them ,, lol ,, I am now trying to find NEW lowfat foods to eat, so I can jumpstart my weight loss again,, Also I need to start working out, which I am on my way to do !!! God give me the strength!!!!! lol,,,, Well hope everything gets better, keep me updated on you!!! And hey every once in awhile its ok to wear the kids panties and be babied!!!

I'm holding back the urge to go "drill Sgt" on you. However: Struggling to get to get to 50 -- this will just not do in the long haul. You need so much more to do well for life. The amount of water you need is dependant on your weight. People at ideal weight might need 64 oz. I weigh 265 pounds and I need about 130 ounces. I'm struggling too and I'm up to 100-120 ounces. If you weighed 120 pounds, 50 would be ok, but still not enough. Two month and still on full liquids -- we all get sick at first, but as your mom said we "put on our big girl panties" and gain a greater tolerance for good, healthy food each time we "just do it." A healthy lifestyle will include getting enough nutrients to have a decent metabolism. Sorry to fuss you, but you do need to get with the program before you can't tolerate anything solid. If does get better, I promise. Onward! Frances

Gosh I feel soo good,, but now I am soooooooooooo thirsty, I can't stop drinking and when I came home I drank this new protein shake I have ,,WOW its good,, Its called KETOJUICE,, strawberry banana smoothie,, I added carb control peaches and used juice instead of water, and 1 scoop no fat sugar free frozen yogurt,,, WOWZER it was good!!!!! I got soo full off of it though,, protein seems to make me feel soo bloated , and not neccesaryly full, just blah,,, And I feel real hungry ,, hmmmm I am gonna go eat some lowfat snack ,, maybe some pickles!!! Hope your doing good,, we still all need to go to dinner one night, let me now when your free?

Ashleigh! I'm so proud of you. In so many ways. Did the fitness center open again after the fire? If so let me know and I'll plan to come over and workout with you. I love elliptical machines I was going to ride my bike, but I decided to do that exercise when you take a tricylcle, a ball and a 3-year-old and let them loose on an empty lot. Quite the workout. After I begged for Cece Mercy, I came in and did my abdominal workout. Dude, I've lost over an inch on my waist SINCE MONDAY MORNING!!! Yes, I'm pumped on abs. I also hurt cause my abs have been cut so much, but hell, "LIFE IS PAIN -- YA JUST GET USED TO IT." (favorite line from the movie "The Long Kiss Goodnight") A Wednesday or Saturday night would be good for dinner cause Scott is off the days after those nights. Let me know. Onward! Hey Frances, you can go Drill Sgt on me........I'm used to it. Really, I'm concerned enough myself to be on top of it. I met with my Nut and Surgeon last Tuesday to discuss these issues already (maybe I should have included that on my posting). I have great support and have been implementing some suggestions to increase my food tolerance, protein, and water levels. Slowly but surely, they seem to be working. The past two days have been better food wise. I ate grilled fish tonight with some beans and a tiny bit of potato and it all seems to be working out. I can't wait until I can have salad. I crave it and there were so many types here tonight at our little neighborhood party. Oh my gosh, did I just want to dig in!!! Thanks for caring though..........I don't mind the fussin' at.......just wanted to let you know that I was on top of this mini crisis. Have a wonderful Sunday........night all! Kendra
