Dr. Ordoyne ???

Has anyone had Dr. Ordoyne in Covington do their surgery? My sister is going to him and she didn't have to do hardly any tests.Just go to the crazy doc(although I'm suprised they didn't keep her)and blood work.She met with him today and he's sending her letter of recommendation in.She's been on the phone with her insurance and they said their shouldn't be no problem at all.Just wondering if anyone had him is all.

There are about three active La. members who had their surgeries with him fairly recently. You should get some posts soon. I've been impressed with everything I've read and heard about him. I'm considering a consult with him on a non-bariatric issue because of his skill and technique in complex abdominal procedures. He doesn't run an "assembly line" bariatric shop, so his numbers aren't huge, but he is something special and a "total package." I wish your sister well. Frances

Dr O did my surgery and I would recommend him in a heartbeat! He is very thorough and has such a great personality to boot. Your sister is in good hands.

I love him and his staff! I think the world of them! You can read my profile for more info. I had to have a clearance from my PCP. Lab work, EKG, Psych visit, nutrition visit and I think that was it. Christie

Dr. O did my surgery back in November. I had to have a sleep apnea test and a psych consult. I had a bunch of labs including blood work, x-ray and EKG right before my surgery. Trust me this man knows what he is doing. I was 458 lbs and he didn't cut me open. He has a wonderful staff, a top notch nutritionist and support groups monthly. Diane
