Surgical Specialist of Louisiana

I would like to thank everyone who spoke well of this group. I went for my consult today and just loved how friendly and outgoing the staff is.My surgeon will be Dr.Warden.He was willing to answer all or any of my questions and I did not feel rushed.Now all I have to do is wait for my approval to be switched to this surgeon from the one I was already approved for.So wish me luck guys.....teesha

Teesha, You have chosen a wonderful group. You will be very pleased with Dr.Warden, the nurses, and staff at Surgical Specialists. I'm currently 2 weeks post-op and have been impressed from start to finish. I decided to go to Surgical Specialists after being jerked around by two other bariatric programs in New Orleans (read my profile if you want to see how angry I was). I was very frustrated and disheartened and even considered giving up on having weight loss surgery. My last resort was Surgical Specialists. They made me feel like they cared about me. I never once felt like I didn't know where I was in the whole process. They explain everything to you and tell you what they expect from you. They even call you back in a timely manner. An excellent group. Not only are they all nice and friendly but extremely skilled surgeons. Their side effect rate is very low compared to national stats. They are progressive in their approach to the surgery. I researched many groups in the south and found the best right here in my neighborhood. You are in good hands. My RNY was a little more than 3 week ago and I have had no side effects. Be strong and positive--bj

Teesha, You are so right about this group of doctors. Dr. Lavin did my surgery 18 months ago and I have had no complications. You are in very good hands and Chris, the NP, is so nice and knowledgeable. I went from wearing a size 32 to a size 8. I am so blessed to have had this surgery. Take care.
