OT: Please pray for my friends family..

We just got a call, a friend of ours just got murdered. Two men broke into his mothers home tied her up put a bag over her head. He drove up while this was happening, he tried to stop them but they shot him. The mother who is in her 80's saw through the bag a red ball of flame. After he was shot they caught him on fire. She was able to get untied and went out to the road and flagged down help. She is at the hospital being treated for her injuries. Her son (our friend) died on the scene. He is in his late 40's or early 50's and has two kids and one grandchild. My husband said he just retired about two weeks ago from the fire department so this is equally upsetting to all of the guys at the fire department and our local police department. My heart goes out to the family and the guys at the department. When the call came in my husband thought about going but has been pretty sick today so there was no way he could have made it. My husband is a volunteer on the fire department. Please keep this family and our firefighters in your prayers. Thanks, Jodi

Deb, Thank you so much for the prayers. I am still in a state of shock. We live in a small town and you would think stuff like this would not happen here. My heart just goes out to the family and all the firemen. I know this is going to be hard on all of them. Now on a lighter note....it is nice to see a face with your post. Jodi, I saw that on the news last night and it has really upset me. What a horrible thing to happen to any one. What kind of human being is that mean and cold blooded, I just pray they find them I have wondered all morning where they came from and where they went. Do you Know if she worked and they thought she had money in the house ? Why her I wonder. Anywany if you know of anything I can do let me know. Sabrina.
