Had a hernia before surgery????

I think I have a hernia and i am scheduled for WLS on May 1.. i just started feeling a stabbing in my belly when i bend over.. i go see my surgeon tomorrow but his nurse said it sounds like a hernia.. im wondering if this will interfere with my RNY that is sceduled for May Kateri

Kateri, I don't know if it will interfere, maybe they can take care of it when you have your surgery. Wishing you the best. Jodi

It shouldn't interfere at all they should be able to fix it while they do the surgery. Good luck with it. Tina

If it's a hernia, you can do a two-for-one. Lots of bariatric patients have hernias repaired with wls. I had hernias before, during, after and after weight loss surgery. I wish you well. Frances
