My temporary job, what a blast!!!

I finished my first temporary job last week and Monday I was called and asked if I could work for two days for a food show. Well, I did...and what a blast. I went to the convention center and found where I was going to be working. It was in the General Mills booth. They had a Cherios Nascar there and of course the fan that I am I got extremely excited. Well, the guy said that the driver Bobby Labonte would be at the show on Thursday. Boy did I ever get excited. Sure enough he came this morning. I got his autograph, picture taken with him. Oh my gosh I was so excited. My husband is leaving for Bristol for this weekends race, of course I am sad about this. He told a friend of his I would be ok with him going to Penascola Beach to judge a bikini contest over going to a Nascar race. I think he is right. Oh well in two weeks I will be going to Texas for the race. Just had to share my joy....and my pictures. Hi Rhonda, I wish I had a full time job like that. But I am happy for the two days I had....My husband has a lot of those perks with his job. He is on his way to Bristol TN for the race this weekend. He has tickets for the hospitality suite, sounds like fun, I am so jealous especially since I am a bigger fan than he is. Oh well.. Have a great weekend. Jodi

I'm jealous!!!!!! I wish I had known that he was going to be there, I would have been myself, lol. My husband is a hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeee nascar fan, and of course I am a nascar nut, so much as our bowling team is named nascar nuts. Hey Lori, It was a blast, but the sad thing was this was really by invite only. You had to have a pass to get into the convention center. When I first got there I could not find the person I was looking for and they would not let me through the doors. I had to get in touch with the temp agency and they had to call and have the guy meet me outside. My husband was so jealous, but I told him this is my PERK, yours is going to Bristol without me. I like Jimmie Johnson too, big Hendrick fan except for Kyle Busch, I don't like him or his brother at all. I like all of them only a handful I don't like. Let me tell Bobby looks so much younger and cuter in person. Oh I am still on cloud nine..... Can't wait for Texas, got my tickets and hotel room. Will be going for the Busch and Cup race. Jodi, hey girl my hubby and I are NASCAR fans too. I know you had a blast I would have too. You are looking good. So what are you into now and what is your weight? I am bouncing between 150 and 152 I can't get past 150. I have some pics on photobucket I think. I have some newer ones but have to gethtem scaned into puter. hubby and I are going to Talledega in Oct for his B-day. We can't wait!!!!!!!! keep up the good work take care, Chrissy

Hey Chrissy, That is neat that you too are fans. Who is your favorite driver? I really like just about all of them. Just a few that I don't like. My husband just called me from Bristol and said there is snow every where. I hope they get to race. It took him about 13 hours to get there. We will be going to Texas in two weeks, I can't wait. We went to Talledega a few years ago. That is such a big track. I don't know if I would go back there, I didn't have the best of time. To many obnoxious drunks and they really got to me. If I had been sitting around some happy drunks maybe I would have enjoyed it more. I just bought me some clothes yesterday and bought some larges and mediums. Felt so good today in my new clothes. My husband has my car and I am driving his. I felt so hot today!!!! He has a sports car so it was a fun day and will be a fun weekend.
