I'm home!! FINALLY!!
well well ,,, I AM SOO GLAD I AM FINALLY HOME, 6 days in the hospital sucks!!! I went in b/c I wasn't able to even keep water down and was barfing everything up,, I went in sat. night and since no one is really there on the weekends , I had to wait til monday to get all the test done. On monday morning I had a upper GI that showed I had a slight obstruction in the small intestine , right where the new stomach connected to the small intestine. Dr. O read the results and said that it could be several things either some of my large intestine seeping through the staple line,, one of the staples loose and blocking the way,, that I could just have alot of swelling or it could be something blocking like fluids or something else. So he suggested the best thing to do would be go in through the same incisions and "check things out" ,, he would see whats going on and fix whatever the problem was,, he said depending on what he found he may also do the scope test to make sure everything was going down ok, since they also say a slight delay in my stomach draining,,, So he went in to do the surgery I think it was tues morning and it ended up being SCAR TISSUE ,when I was younger I was keloid and it seems I must still be a little , he said he has never seen anyone scar this fast and this much and actually I was saying last week how my incisions all had soo much scar tissue on them,, he said he removed all the scar tissue from the incisons themself, b/c he had to do that to even get in and then also the huge clump that was blocking my small intestine,, he also did the scope test to make sure everything was ok in that dept and it was. The recovery wasn't too easy b/c this time I wasn't on the pain pump and for some reason I have a really high tolerance for pain meds and we couldnt find one that worked for me, So I was in pain alot ,, I felt like a truck hit me this time!! But I managed,, Dr. O was AWESOME this time and really caring , not that he wasn't last time but this time he was really sweet,, He kept calling me trouble maker!!! So I am finally home today and sooooooooooo excited, ahh those hospital beds are miserable,, I must of been positioned wrong in surgery b/c my neck and back are all messed up and that hurts bad and I also started my period so I am in pain with that,, My mom said she's really to shoot me!!! So I let her go home!!! I am soo sick of being bed bond,, I am ready to get working out and get moving!! THANK YOU ALLL SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR WORRYING ABOUT ME AND CARING SOO MUCH,, SOME OF YOU ARE UNBELIEVABLE AND I AM SOO GLAD TO HAVE YALL IN MY LIFE!!!
Ashleigh you poor baby! I had my surgery Monday and didn't get online till last night and read about your hospitalization. I was going to go visit you this afternoon but when I call they said you were discharged. I live about 1 mile from St. Tammany Hospital. One of my best friends is on the board of directors and I could have had you treated very good I was availiable.
My surgery went great and I am doing excellent. I actually feel better today than before surgery.
Let me know if I can do anything for you when you are in Covington for your appointments.
Be strong and positive--bj
Hey I'm glad to hear you finally made it home!!! Girl....you must like St. Tammany huh, j/j! I never heard of scar tissue building up that fast either, but I'm glad he caught it quick. Thank goodness for Dr. O!
So how are you now! Any better? Are you able to hold fluids in?
I can't beleive you had to go through all that crap!
But I'm glad you are doing better!

HI ASHLEIGH
I am so glad to see you are home now! I hope you are feeling better today though. You are a tough cookie and I knew you would be up and running again
I go in for my knee replacement on Tues. and I am not looking forward to my 7 day stay at the hospital. I too hate to be bed bound.
Take Care of yourself and may you continue on that road to a speedy recovery. Lots of love being sent your way!!!
Hugs,
Dee
