weight gain!
OMGosh I have gained 8 pounds and I am not happy about it at all
I have been suffering with RLS (restless leg syndrome) for about a year or so now and my Dr. put me on that new drug Requip. I've been on it now for two months and I started to notice the weight gain last month. I have not done anything different with my eating and then I noticed it was the Requip. So when I saw my Pain and Specialty Dr. for my knees, I mentioned it to her and she took me off the Requip and has me on the muscle relaxer flexeral. I took one last night and it helped. It took about 30 minutes to kick in ad do it's job, but that was better than 6 hours of jumping and if it keeps me from gaining weight, it's worth the 30 minute wait.
It's going on 3 years now since my surgery and I can't let RLS be responsible for weight gain. I am hoping to get those 8 pounds off and gone forever. To me, 8 pounds is as bad as being back up to 300 pounds. Can be depressing too.
Anyone else taking Requip for RLS?

Hey....sorry to hear about the weight gain! Hopefully now that you aren't taking that medicine anymore you will be able to knock it off in a quick time!
Did you know if that was a side affect from the medicine? My mom has that problem and she is trying to lose weight. They talked about that medicine for a while. But I'll let her know what happened to you.
Anyway....knock that weight off now....you can do it!!!
