Alert: Ashleigh in surgery tomorrow!
I'm so sorry to say that Ashleigh is still going to be "going through it" for a while. She had an upper GI today that showed some type of obstruction. Dr. O said it could be an intestinal obstruction or some large intestines might be steeping through the staple line.
I wish I could take this pain and fear away from her. I know what recurrent surgeries are like, but I'm old and "I've lived." I do hate to think of one so young having to suffer, but I know old bird like me were made tough through life's experiences that seared and shaped us at the same time.
I've gone into detail about the inquiries about her condition. She is deeply touched by all of you and so am I.
The surgery will be tomorrow at 7 a.m. I'm sooooooo thankful for Dr. O. These tricky abdominal procedures are right up his expert alley. Please pray for both Ashleigh and her surgeon.
Thank you deeply,
Frances
Hi Christine,
Dr. O. will go in through the same incisions. He will go to inspect the area where the organs are "bypassed" to check to see if some bowels are slowing peeking through the staple line. Her intestines could be obstructed in another area and not the staple line. After he finds and fixes the obstruction, he will do a barium swallow type procedure to see if all goes through without seeping or stopping.
I told her tonight that I'm thinking about seeing Dr. O. for an unrelated problem (to wls) because of his rare and expert skills.
I thank God for such a soul.
You are welcome!
Frances
OH WOW! I sure hate hearing that. I just got off the phone with Ashleigh and she said she was a bit nervous about the procedure. I know she'll be just fine and she'll bounce right back up to the surface.
She's a tough cookie!
I'll be keeping everyone in my
thoughts and prayers .....
I Love Ya Ash!
