Do any of you use the sf popcicles from Wal-mart. The budget ones. The NUT at the hospital recommended them but I see where the have 4 grams of sugar alchol. I have read on posts on the main board that the sugar alcohol makes them dump. I come home from surgery next Wed. and don't want ot start out sick. bj

I think I bought the Bluebell SF popsicles. I am not big on popsicles but sure did enjoy them. I still get so confused with the sugar alchols and all. I try to avoid anything that says sugar. I am so terrified to dump. I am sure if your NUT recommended them they should be ok. When I was first out I could only take a few sucks and that was more than enough for me. That way I am sure I didn't even come close to getting enough sugar alcohols to hurt me. Take care, Jodi

Jodi It hasn't set in yet I guess. It will be so wierd to not be able to finish a popcicle! When I think 3 oz an hour is a goal for the first few days. Wow!! I have read everything and am extremely knowledgable and ready but the realization of the small amounts has not sunk in. If it would I may lose the only fear I have and that is I will gain the weight back. Monday if right around the corner. bj

I use the sf ones from walmart in the yellow box, plus I use the blue bell too. I get the fudge ones too, 3 grams of protein in it too!!! I had to do an ounce every 15 minutes then started two ounces every 15 mins. Oh and I also bought the popcicles that have cream in it, they were sf, it was good! I never threw up from them! I also ate popcicles in the hospital. Good Luck

sugar alcohol to me is just as bad as sugar, just in a different form. Its almost impossible to get anything without some sugar in it, or it would taste like you know what, i like yogart, but pretty much wrote that off due to the sugar, i do get sugar free popcicles, because sometimes i just like to have something even if im not hungry, bluebell is good, and i like popcicle brand tropicana is the best, sugar free that is, you will try different things on your own and decide what you like best. good luck with your recovery, we'll be here for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 rhonda

I have tried them and they taste yuck to me. I get the other kind not sure the name brand but they do cost alot more than the no name brand. But to me it's worth it to pay more for the taste. Tina
