boredom!!!! and Pain!!!

hello everyone, I had my gallbladder out on the 5th, i have more pain with this surgery than i did with gastric bypass, i guess its so soon after the first surgery, but i don't feel good, today is the first day i was able to eat any solid food, but wasn't easy, trying to take all protein in, I'm not the type of person to lay around, so its hard, i would rather be outside walking or something, once i take the lortab the pain is tolerable, but i don't like taking pain meds either, looks like i can't go back to work till after the 20th, well, guess i need to make the best of it... i like to draw, so maybe i should draw some, talk to ya'll soon, Kat, how are you doing since your fall at work? hope you are feeling ok. rhonda

I know it sucks to be pin up and in pain. Hope you feel better soon! You should invest in a Gamboy or something like that. They really make the time go by. Tina

thanx tina, im sure my husband would love that idea, i've been trying to rap up my daughters plans on college, graduation, and prom,,, all i hear is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ , boy, i think she believes we are rich! but im glad she is wanting to go to college, and its for nursing, so thats even better, rhonda

Those things do take alot of money, but at least she is working and can help with some of it. And that's good that she wants to be a nurse, like her mommy. Tina

Oh Rhonda I hope you feel better and are able to get moving. I was expecting to have my gallbladder out with my RNY on 3/13 but it is fine. I told Dr. Thomas that I had been "dumping" already even though I was preop and described by symptoms. He said it sounded like gallbladder diesease but I had no pain. Well it isn't according to the ultrasound all is OK. Live strong and positive! bj

Rhonda, I am sorry you are not feeling up to par....Two surgeries almost back to back can take the startch out of you. I can feel your pain, I can't stay still and then I think I can do this or that and that will wear me out. I saw your post concerning your daughter and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, girl I can relate. I have a 17 year old that thinks we are rich. Prom, senior rings, senior pictures, cheerleading (over 1000.00) Ugg!!!! When I told her I was working part time on a temporary basis I think she got excited and thought oh more money for me....She did work during the summer and plans to again, she would like to work during the school year but my husband won't let her. He is afraid her grades will suffer. You know we have to work for the scholorships. She just got her ACT results back and did very well, hope that helps out. She is thinking of starting college off at Baton Rouge, then going to Baylor Med. More $$$$$$$$$, if she goes to Medical School she will just have to take out student loans, at that point my son will be in college. I told her I will support her for the first four years then it is up to her. Well, enough of my drama....I truly hope you get to feeling better. Jodi

im with you , i'll help her the first four years, then she is on her own, i still owe student loans when i went to college( only been out 6 years.) im very proud of her , her ACT score was good except math, i heard we arre suppose to have bad weather today,? heard anything? nice to hear from you. rhonda

Rhonda, We just had a severe weather warning lifted. It was real bad here. I have not seen it rain that hard and the wind blow that hard in months. It started about the time my daughter left for school. I was a nervous wreck with her being up on the interstate with the wind and all. I wanted her to take my car (suburban) much larger than what she drives but of course that didn't go over well. Guess she made it ok I never heard from her. It is still real dark outside, but I think the rain has finally passed. Hope you don't have severe weather issues. Take care, Jodi
