Hi Tracey--I live in covington and my surgery is 3/13. Who is your doctor? I would like to invite you to the suppory group meeting on Thursday, March16 at the conference room at Lakeview Hospital. betty

Tracy, I work at Lakeview in Covington. I live in Slidell. Dr Lavin did my RNY last Aug. Who is your doctor? We have supprot meetings here at the hospital once a month on Thursaday. Email me if you want to. I will be gald to help you with anything or questions you might have. Take care, Chrissy

My doc is Karl Ordyne, and i have to go to an cardiologist and pulminologist to an appointment.... i have had the tests....the insurance company want me to see them besides the testing... so the only appointments i could get with them is march 15 and 17th... My insurance is BCBS of Delaware.... yuk! They only allow me to go to St. Tammany Hospital. I had my daughter at Lakeview, that was a nice hospital. I would love to go to the Lakeview support group since it is closer to my house. I live near Fountain Bleu State park, off of 190 and Soult. But my hubby works at night, and i have 2 babies that are 5 and 3, are the support groups kid friendly?? I think they would be good, and sit quietly in the back and read or something.... If not i could just leave.... what do you think????? When is the next support group at St. Tammany? I forgot and don't want to bother the docs(Ordyne) office.... again and again...... heheheh I would like to get together and see if we could have a "tasting" of protein drinks.... I think Ashleigh brought it up last week? What do ya'll think? Maybe i could contact some friends and have them send us some??? Anyway I am just playing the time game... waiting.... I use to be patient... what happened to it... maybe its buried under all this fat.... hehhehe How long did it take for ya'lls approvals? Did you have a hard time to wait?

One of the things on the agenda ot the Lakeview meeting is a protein tasting and exchange. We are haveing a protein garage sale! Again I will not be there my surgery is 3/13 at Southern Surgical Hosp in Slidell. I am selfpay so there was not a lot of waiting. I did get cancelled twice because of doctor issues not mine. BJ, Good luck hon on your surgery!!! I hope I am next on the bench.... Wow self pay .... you go girl!!! I wish I could-- that way I could bypass(funny hheeee) the insurance issues.... hha ha I cracked myself up with that one.... I am just giddy and nervous thats all.. I usually am not very funny I couldn't tell a joke if I tried.... Anyway, how does your follow up care look like? Some people get these binder notebooks with all kinds of infomation in them. Does Surgical specialist do that too? I have a friend who had surgery in Iowa and was suppose to copy hers for me and send it down here. I hope to see ya'll at the support groups soon!! hugs! Tracey

Hey Tracey!!! I guess you haven't heard back from Dr. Ordoyne's office yet about approval huh? I'd call your insurance too and check with them. Insurances are different with their approval time. I had medicaid for my surgery and it took a week for the approval to come back. Good Luck....Christie
