It all worked out well, i was able to be on my unit .. they treated me well. well take care everyone, im on lortab, and im sleepy... rhonda
Man I am sorry Rhonda, Hope you feel better real soon.
You know in 88 had the stomach stapled and they removed the gall bladder then. Dr said because they have to go back in due to gall stones appearing after a rapid weight loss so why dont these docs do that today so you dont have to go back in???
Just wondering
Get better soon and take it easy
Denise
Glad your doing alright. It's a shame they didn't go ahead and remove it when you had your surgery. You know it was bad then too. That could have saved you some money because while they where removing the gallbladder they could have done the surgery and your insurance would have paid for most of it, you would have only had to pay the difference. That make me weary of your surgeon, he should have caught all that before you had surgery. Let me know when your healed enough to start walking again. Also if you need anything just let me know.
Take care,
Tina
hi, guys nice to hear from ya'll. My gallbladder was fine before my surgery, he ultrasound it, but i guess my body didn't like the rapid weight loss, now some surgeons are taking it out with the surgery. The surgeon was going to fix my hernias this time, but wasn't able to because of the adhesions, no big deal, if the hernias don't cause me problems, im not going to have them fixed, im just going to enjoy the day, watch t.v. hope ya'll have a good day! rhonda
Rhonda,
sorry to hear about the gallbladder, I wonder if mine will have to be taken out eventually also, and wonder why they didn't take it out to begin with, geesh I want as little surgeries as possible, but my doctor didnt mention anything about taking them out, I know one doctor's seminor I went to for wls said he took all of them out so you don't have to have more surgeries, but hey to each doctor his own right!! I am glad your doing good now, I know I heard somewhere , maybe on this board, that they can now take out a gallbladder through the belly button,, hmm that would be interesting to see!!! rest up and good luck!!
Sorry to hear about your gallbladder. They really should take them out if at all possible b/c it often happens after surgery. I bet the rush and had my out in 1990 but not before a gallstone blocked my bile duct and caused pancreatitis which almost killed me! I guess you see why I say they should just yank them, lol. Seriously, I didn't have pain with the gallstones until it blocked my bile duct and the nausea started. I had a doctor's appt. that afternoon but went into the ER at 9am and had emergency surgery. Funny, that did it lapracopically and I felt great like I didn't even have surgery but then the pancreatitis got worse so they did an exploratory -- I went from a couple of tiny scars to a massive midline incision.
Hope you feel better soon!

Wow girl you had a busy weekend!!! Geez!
I've been out of town since Sunday, just getting home. Sorry it took so long to post, but girl I hope your feeling better today.
When I had my surgery I was back to work and feeling great in three days. I had went to the ER with mine b/c I though I was having a heart attack, that is how bad the pain was. At least now maybe you won't be in anymore pain!
Hope your doing better and feeling better!
