Need help! Has anyone out there had gall bladder problems?

I had a very rough day yesterday. It would start about 30 minutes after I would eat. It was this aweful pain right in the middle of my stomach. It made me also feel like I was sick at my stomach. It happened both times that I ate yesterday. All I've had today is my protein drink this morning and I'm going to see if it happens again after my lunch. Does this sound like it might be gall bladder? Does anyone out there know what the symptoms of a bad gall bladder are? Please let me know. Jenifer Francis

I had a really bad gallbladder and man does it hurt.Does it hurt through to your back(feels like) or maybe up into your shoulder(Dr.s call this referred pain)You know though our pouch is also right in the middle kinda high up.

My surgeon thinks my gallbladder is bad and I have not had surgery yet. I had a ultrasound last week. May symptons are very similar to the way people describe dumping. I thought I already dumpem when I ate fried foods and described it to my surgeon and he said it was my gallbladder. Good luck. Hope you feel better soon. betty

Hi, I had my gallbladder removed about 11 years ago. The pain was so bad through my chest to my back I thought I was having a heart attack. I went to the ER one day b/c I really thought it was a heart attack and it was my gallbladder. They removed it through my belly button and voila pain was gone. That was a very easy surgery for me too. Same day surgery and was back to doing regular activities with in a couple of days. Good Luck oh yea, you do get shoulder pain from it too, like in your shoulder blade.

Hi Jenifer, When I had my gallbladder problems it was on my right side right by my rib cage. It was a constant dull ache for me. I was also nausious (sp) all the time. All my tests came back negative but they removed it and boy did I start feeling better. Keep us posted on how you are doing....I didn't make it to the support meeting last month at Dr. Merrimans, did you go? I go back Monday for my three month appt. Jennifer, It sounds like to me you make have a blockage somewhere. I just had some scar tissue removed along with my gall bladder too. Just like you everytime I ate about 30min to a hour later I would be in major pain could not breathe even but slowly it would work its way past that pont then I would be fine. So I would call your dr office and tell them. My dr put me in the hospital the day I went into see him. I had an endoscope done the next day then surgery that Saturday. I went home the same day. Now I feel wonderfull again. I can eat and drink now without getting sick....... Let us know what happens ok... Take care, Chrissy

That COULD be gall bladder, since that is a common problem following WLS. Or, it could be an ulcer. Considering all of the "other problems" that you've had, I would not wait another minute to talk with my surgeon about this. Hugs, Pam
