OMGosh what do I do?? I have been on this kick with apple juice now for 2 or 3 weeks now and I have gained 8 pounds!!!! I know what I have to do and that is to stay away from the dang juice, but it's so hard to do. Any suggestions??? Gaining 8 pounds has really brought me down. I thought I would NEVER see 200 pounds again and I am back up to 204. It is VERY depressing. I have been sick and trying so hard to kick this virus going on and it just seems the apple juice quenches my thirst. I ran out of it yesterday and doing my best to replace it with water in stead. So far so good, but I am dying for a glass of apple juice. Any suggestions are welcome and I can handle any criticism to go along with it. Dee

Hi Dee, Wal-Mart carries a line of GV low-carb juices that have about 40 calories a serving. Gosh, they are so good that I water them down to limit the sugar taste even more. I've done cran-grape and cran-raspberry, but I bet a cran-apple would be very satisfying to you. There are some other brands for low-carb juices, but GV is $1.88 and I'm sooooo cheap. Also, if you have been fighting a virus, there might be a non-weight reason for the increase weight on th scale. Your body might be a little puffy and retaining water to help battle the changes caused by the virus. Don't be depressed, sis... you have come to far to look back. You are only going ... Onward!

Thanks Sis for the reply. I didn't even think about the retaining of fluids issue. Needless to say mother nature is at call right now I'll check on those drinks once I am able to get out, or I will have Joe do it when he goes out later. Thanks again and I'll keep in touch with my progress. Love Ya!

Dee, So sorry to hear about your sickness and weight gain. I know that's a blow since I'm fairly new to onederland. I know it's not the same as the juice but what about Propel? It tastes better than plain water and has lots of flavors. Also, it may be just a "sickness craving" for the juice and once you get better you may get the "juice monkey" off your back. Don't let the depression get to you -- I think that's the culprit in so much of the obesity b/c it's a downward spiral. Maybe if you balance out the juice with some protein that may help. Don't bet yourself about the weigh gain, it happens. It may come off by itself once you get well. Good luck, Anne

Hi Anne, Thank You also for your reply. Like I just replied to Frances, I never thought about the retaining of fluids and mother nature is viviting right now I'll give it a couple of weeks and see how it goes. I've gone all day with NO apple juice and I think I am having withdrawls I have replaced it so far with 2 protein shakes and water. It's tough, but I am a tough cookie and I WILL do this! Thanks Again for your reply, Dee

Thanks for the reply Rhonda. A few of the other ladies suggested the same thing about the flavored drinks. When I am able to get out, I'll go by Walmart and try them out. Thanks Again and I am feeling a little bit better right now. I'm taking my meds as prescribed. Gosh I hate taking meds ... lol Hugs, Dee
