Well once again, it has been awhile since I have posted, but as my insurance has denied my surgery due to them not looking at all the paperwork for my case, I am waiting, but in the mean time I have started my own personal challenge... I have started to exercise again, as of this morning I am down 52 pounds!!!!! My mother is a registered dietician and she has me on a very restricted diet and it is working with the exercise I have been doing. I am riding my new exercise bike for 2 hours a day. I figure as long as I am watching tv, I May as well be doing something good with my time, so I sit on my bike and watch my soaps. Other than getting another year older tommorow, I am doing wonderful. I am reconsidering surgery in May... I am unsure if I should still go through with it as I am losing on my own for now. I hope everyone has a very happy mardi gras, we will be going to the parade this afternoon, even though it is pouring down rain at the present moment. Whereever you are in your journey May god bless you, guide you, and give you the strength to never give up on yourselves!!! God bless, lori

First of all, Happy early Birthday! Second, I know you are disappointed, but if this is something you want, keep fighting! And finally, go enjoy the parade...in the rain...and cold! And catch lots of beads and dubloons!!! Marcie

Lori I have been wondering about you. I am glad you are doing good. Personally I feel if you can lose the weight on your own then you dont need surgery. Maybe that is what God intended for you. 52 pds that is awesome, I am so proud of you. Keep it up and keep your head up and going strong. We are too close not to meet, if you want to walk at park some time let me know. Need to walk real bad, but hate to do it alone denise 250/200/150

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORI! and CONGRATULATIONS! Lori, 52 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. You should be extremely proud of yourself. You have proven that you can lose. It might be worth it to see how good you are at maintaining it without surgery. Remember, there are many "non-surgery" members on OH.com. We are all one big family no matter what path we take. Onward! Frances
