I know everyone here has a great big heart and we always pull together in times of need. I am coming to you today with a heavy heart asking for prayers. As some of you know in August my Grandfather was very ill and had several surgery's. Well, he has never fully recovered and my Mother called me and my sister to last night to "prepare" us. She said my Grandfather is not doing well, he is now in a hospital bed on morphine and all he does is gurgle. He can barely speak. The home health nurse said that all they can do at this point is make him and the family comfortable. Please keep me and my family especially my Grandfather in your prayers. Pray for the Lord to guide him home so there will be no more suffering in his world. He has lived a full life he is almost 90 years old and we are a big family and will continue to live by his words of "LOVE EACH OTHER and STICK TOGETHER." Gina

Hi Gina, I lost my grandmother three years ago. At the end the hospital sent her home through hospice. We just made sure she was comfortable, that is all you can do. And it's hell and it hurts to watch them go through that. I know the gurgle sound your talking about. It sounds like a coffee pot purculating. She ended up being unconsicous for about 4 days before she passed. And before that she would just focus on something and tears would run down her eyes. She died in her living room. It was hard, to this day it's still hard! But I realized I was being selfish and didn't want her to die. Finally after each of us told her it was ok to go, then she went on to our Heavenly Father. She also went to be with my grandfather!!! Be strong and even if he doesnt respond, tell him you love him and it's okay for him to go. You just want him to be in no pain and be in peace! I feel your pain Gina.....I'll be praying for you! Christie

Gina, I will say some prayers for you and your grandfather too. I know it is a very hard thing to do through. I lost both of my grandmothers with 31/2 months of each other. So I know what you will be going through with your grandfather. one of my grandmothers was 93 and the other one was 83. Take care and keep us posted. Chrissy
