My husband won't be here for my surgery :(
My husband's deployment date was moved up by over a week. My surgery date has not be scheduled, but there was a good chance he'd be here for the surgery as I'm just waiting for a cardiac clearance. Now with the new date, there is no chance he'll be here. I'm so bummed. Actually far beyond bummed I'm downright depressed.
On the plus side, he'll come home to a skinny wife.
Hi Lin,
I am sorry to hear your husband is being deployed...I hope you have some family or friends that will be able to help you.
I am glad you are keeping a positive attitude about him coming home to a skinny wife. Just know you have friends here, I know that does not help but we will be here for you.
Take care,
Jodi
Lin,
I am sooo sorry to hear you won't have your husband there with you through the surgery, I know how tough that must be ,, my mom was almost not able to be here due to my uncle being in a coma in another state,, thankfully she is now,, I can't imagine the pain you are going through , but if you don't have any other family that can be there for your through your surgery, please let us know on here , as I know everyone on here is more than nice and willing to drive to be with you, or I know I am,, I wouldnt want anyone to go through this alone,, on the other side, it will be great to see your husband after and just imagine how excited he will be to see what you look like, I'm sure he will chat about it every second he is gone!! Please keep us updated on the situation,
I do have a daughter who is 22 and she lives here in town. She helps a lot right now with my 2 year old son. I know she'll be very helpful after the surgery too. Her boyfriend's mom had the surgery three years ago, so she's excited for me and offers a lot of help. I'm lucky in that there is a wonderful group of wives whose husband are deploying with mine, so there's THAT support too. Nothing compared to my hubby, but at least I won't be alone.
I am going to ask my mother-in-law if she'd like to come down for the first month after hubby deploys. She is a very helpful and loving person -- oh sure she can get on my nerves but who can't, right?
Thanks for all the sweet responses.
