Dr. VISIT FOR 6 MONTHS/1WEEK POST OP

Hello Everyone, I anted to update everyone on how I am doing form having my surg last weekend. I went to Dr.Lavin yesterday which is also my 6 month anv too. I weighed in at 156 so in 6 months I have lost 70.5 pounds. But when I weighed this morning I was 154 so I am down 72 pounds as of today. I have 24 pounds to go till I hit my personal goal of 130. Dr. Lavin told me I was doing really well and I can skip my 9 month visit and I did not have to go back til Aug for my one year visit. I am so proud of myself for having the surg and sticking to the diet. I do however need to work on going to the gym more than I go. I have to say this has been the thing I have ever done. I would do it can in a heartbeat. My life has changed so much for the better. I don't go back to work til the 27th of this month so I have time to move things into the Feam camper. Oh yeah they finally hooked up the lights. So I have been moving little things into it so far. Well I have to run out for a bit. Take care to all, Chrissy 226/154/130

hi Chrissy, glad you are recovering well. As you know, i had surgery with Dr. Lavin also, he is great!(not much of a talker though) I go back to surgeon on 2/21/06 I got most of my lab work already , some #'s off but not enough to be alarmed. Rhonda, Thanks!! Your are right about Dr Lavin being not much of a talker... I saw Chris last Thursday. She said my blood work was fine and since I was close to goal I did not have to go for my 9 month visit. I go back in Aug for my 1 year visit unless I have problems again. I don't intend to have any more problems..... Take care, Chrissy

Tina, Thank you for the support. I am doing good now that I had my gall baldder out. I tell you it is soooooo much easier to drink now than a few weeks ago. I'll keep you posted on my weight and my goal. Take care, Chrissy

Hey Chrissy i ws wondering if u had to have ur gallbalder takin out due to the surgery? I heard a lot of good things about dr. levin. missie

Missie, Yeah I did. Most of the RNY patients have thier Gall baldder out. I just did not think it would be with in 6 months. Dr Lavin is the BEST in the region. I love him. He did my sister in law too she is 9 months ahead of me. She is 15 months out and is down 121 pounds. Email me if you have any other questions. Take care, Chrissy
