DRUM ROLL Please.......................

I have a date!!!! I talked to my dr.'s. office today and go to see them for nutrition class and post-op blood work on March 8..then to see Dr. Thomas on March 13 and then..........surgery March 14!!!...woooohoooo!! Know I can be patient...waiting will be hard..I asked Patsy @ the Dr.s office if this could be sooner and she said with Mardi Gras they would be short staffed..he is booked!! and then he has a trip the first week of March...OK..I guess I can wait..ha! I am thrilled! I have so much to do now..let's see..which list should I make first.. Put me on your prayer list ladies...as my Granny would say, 'Everything is on the go-along!'...vintagedeb

I originally said I wanted to use Dr. Lavin but after seeing Dr. Thomas at the seminars in Alexandria, I thought any of them in their offices would be great surgeons..I understand all of them have excellent reputations.. ive' never heard anything different, and i'm a nurse, and worked with many nurses who were, 1year,2year,3year post ops, and there is another nurse who gets on the website, i spoke with her tonight, and she has never seen anything bad either. i did research on the MD's before my surgery, I know that having an excellent surgeon is a major factor in your success, as long as you do what they tell you. I wish you the best! Lavin was my md, but i have known folks personally who have used all the md's in the group and they are all great! i wish you lived closer also. rhonda

Congrats girl!!!!!!!! I totally understand what you mean, seems like alot of us are getting our surgery in the next2-3 weeks,, I am getting mine feb.22nd,,, I couldnt wait til after mardi gras, though it sucks now b/c ill be in bed for it!!! Best of luck!!
