Nothing but carbs today!
Boy! Did I do a lousy job of feeding my body today. I ate practically nothing but starches. I am disgusted with myself. Tomorrow I'm going on the "plateau buster" to break this craving of breads. Going to keep a glass of water right by me all day long, too. It didn't help when I didn't go for my walk. Thank you, Lord! Tomorrow's a new day!!!

Good morning, Ms. Frances! How are you doing since surgery? I woke up this morning to a beautiful day. Now if I can just stay away from those carbs! Protein only! Protien only! Protien... Oh sorry! Trying to convince myself to only eat that "P" stuff.
I can eat any type of bread: crackers, white bread, noodles, etc. Wheat bread is a no no. Hurts my lil' pouch. I'm gonna leave it all alone for awhile.

Hi Peggy,
Glad that you have resolved to get into the fight. I'm finally turning a corner after my last surgery. It hurt badly for a really long time. The pain is present, but better.
Just had a bowl of my oatmeal-yogurt crunch and I feel like I ate a bowling ball, but all that fiber will pass at some point ...
Hey, since you like breads and pasta, I have two suggestions for you. Dreamfields pasta is extremely low-carb, but manages to have the same taste consistency and taste of regular pasta. It has 5 net carbs and can be found at Albertsons, Krogers and I've heard WalMart, but not at mine.
Natural's Own Light is a bread in the same category. It's tasty, but contains only 40 calories in a slice. It's high in fiber, but not sandpaper. As an added plus, it has 5 grams of PROTEIN, PROTEIN, per serving. You can have your bread and protein at the same time.
All my best for a great day.
Frances
I'm glad to hear you're feeling a little better. Surgery is no fun but it'll be worth it when the weight is gone and our health is better. I don't have pain anymore but I do still have twinges around my stitch area once in awhile.
Thanks for the heads up on the starches. I'll have to check out the pasta at my local supermarket and Wal-mart.
Have a great day!

Peggy keep you head up and you will be fine. i have started writting everything down that goes in my mouth. i put on a sheet of paper water and then put a 1 next to it when i drink one. same for protein ect... then i put down what i eat the date and all and then i can see what i did wrong and why the scales havent moved.
good luck you will be fine

Thanks for the suggestion, Denise. I started journaling but didn't keep up with it. I think I'm going to make a spreadsheet on the computer, one I can print out and write on daily. I've also got to up my exercise. I'm an artist and a writer, so both are sit down jobs that I do here at home.
Anyhow, have a wonderful day and thanks for the support!

Sista, I hear you! I am in the same boat. I have been trying to do proteins only since Monday! I am ashamed to say I haven't been able to totally get it out of my system. A few crackers here and there but alot better than I was last week. I haven't lost any weightto speak of since the hurricane. I didn't realize what a drug carbs are for me. I have lost quite a bit of weight but I am not where I want to be yet.
Hang in there...we can do this!!!
