Need a Hospital for over 550 lbs limit

Hello everyone: I'm posting this for Kelli Smith. She was approved from medicaid for the surgery but St. Tammany Hospital, which is were Dr. Ordoyne performs his procedures, they have a weight limit of 550. If anyone knows of a hospital in Louisiana that has a weight limit of over 550, please please please, let me know so I can let Kelli know!!! She is still having some computer problems and still isn't able to post yet. She is just as anxious as everyone else to have this done! Thanks, Christie

Tell her to try Vista Surgical Center they specialize in Bariatric Surgery so there's may be higher.

Christie, I work at Lakeview in Covington we can accomadate a pt that is that big. In fact Dr Warden did wls on a man that was 610 pounds I think Dr O can do surg at our hospital Tell Kelli I will look into it for her. take care, Chrissy

I just had my first seminar with Dr. Lavin. he said he does lap RNY for patients that are BMI:90. Omega hospital is set up for WLS. It's a private hospital right on Severn in Metairie. Brook

Hi brook thanks for the info. I am waiting to hear back from Dr.Louis martin. His nurse said that she really feels that he wiil help me but first they need my medical records from covington. I guess the mail is running slow because it does not seem realistic to me that it could take a whole week just to make it here. Who knows? In the meantime though I will look into contacting Dr. Lavin. I just need help so I really appreciate yours. By the way I saw your profile and your children are little darlings.
