ON MY WAY!! Need LA Ladies Support!!

Hello all..I'm very new to Obesity Help..I went to see Dr. Thomas' office in Covington yesterday to 'get started'..wooo hoooooo...I'm on my way!! If all goes well with scheduling pre-op tests in a timely manner, I should be on the surgery schedule for February..Please pray for me..I want to share my journey (as you all do).. feel free to email me also..I'm full of curiosity and questions for the post op people out there...love to all and thanks for your support......deb

Hi Deb.....i'm right there next to you!!! I will be having my surgery done with Dr. Ordoyne! Hopefully on the 30th....I can't wait!!!! I'm freaking out with anxiety...but good anxiety!!! LOL

Hi Deb, I have been on this board since June. I just love it....took away my food addiction. I had my surgery on Dec 12, it will be six weeks on Monday. As of this morning I have lost 30lbs. I am considered a light weight. I would like to lose 50 more but am taking it 10lbs at a time. I don't want to set a long term goal, I feel it will be easier to set small goals. Hope all is well with you keep us posted on your journey. So far my journey has been incrediable. Jodi

Hi Debbie, Welcome to the site! I am post op Sept. 27, 2004, so I've been here a while. I haven't looked to any other site for support. There are so many things to learn here and I couldn't wait to get their magazine when I was pre op. I would sit there and read the thing from front to back in one night. This was the best thing that ever happened to me. I swore that after I had my surgery that I would make an effort to keep my profile up, but it seems that after the surgery, I was so more interested in the posts on the message boards that I hardly ever go to my profile. Sign up for the main Q & A to be sent to you each day on email. They really keep you boosted, even if you don't have time to visit the site, it is a daily reminder that there are so many more that are behind you and cheering you on. When I have a hard time, I just come to this site and it reminds me that this was an important step and You need to make the very most of the blessing. Welcome, I for one, am glad that you are here.
