Need some advice/information

I have been reading posts for about two years now. I am getting closer to actually beginning the wls process. I made the first move by contacting a doctor but they were told by my insurance company he is not in my network. It seems there is only one doctor from Zachary, Dr. Jonathan Taylor/Lane Memorial Medical Center. I have never heard anything about him on this site, or if I have it hasn't been anything to catch my eye. Does anyone know of him or have used him. The doctor I had contacted said Dr Taylor has only done 5 operations and lost 3 patients. That just isn't very assuring to me. Please give advice. I feel like I already know all of you reguluar posters

I don't know much about him. But I had a problem finding someone in my network as well and one of the ladies at one clinic said he was probably my best bet. But she also said she doesn't like to send people to him because he is so new to this. And there was no way I was letting someone so inexperienced work on me. You should research him more before you decide to go to him. He may be a wonderful doctor, who knows but those odds don't sound good to me. Have you tried Dr. Martin or any of his staff. They where in New Orleans until the hurricane and now they are in Baton Rouge at the Vista Surgical Center. It is not covered on my insurance but they made and exception for me due to the hurricane.
