Job Interview Today
Well, the job interview went well... I am a little disappointed in the $2/hr pay cut to take the job, BUT... it's a M-F 7a-4p job, with only ONE weekend per month... soooo it sounds fantastic... I get to stay home with my family!!
So I did the initial HR interview... then when I expected to be "dismissed" I was asked to wait a moment... and the case management supervisor met with me and I had my second interview RIGHT THEN!!
She turns out to be someone I had met before a couple times when I worked for the company before, and it looks VERY positive. She tells me that she will call me tommorrow. Cross everything!!

It's going good and you. I'm not losing as fast as I would like but I'm still losing so that is good. If I would get off my butt and exercise more it would probably fall off. I was doing fine before our vacation but now I can't seem to get motivated. I'm also tired alot I think I have low iron so I'm gonna start taking some iron and see if that helps. How is it going for you?
Hi Kat:
I have been lurking on the boards for several months now and am in the process of trying to get approved for WLS. My company has BCBS of Alabama (I know, I work in New Orleans, its weird) and they require the 6 month supervised diet prior to approval, which I am about to start next week. I have been reading your posts for months now and almost feel like I know you from reading about you and the other lovely people on this board.
Although you've never actually said where you are working now, I can guess where it is from the small pool of hospitals still functioning and the fact that they are self-insured. I am also a nurse and used to do a lot of work (agency) at the hospital you are working at now.
I know that getting a job in BR would put you much closer to your family, but please be careful that you are not jumping from the frying pan into the fire with regard to getting approved for WLS. I think BRG is also self insured and recently had some issues with provider payments in a big way. You might want to check their web site and do a net search on the insurance.
However, I understand with all the trauma and frustrations you are having right now, it might be better to be with your family and just self-pay. I hope that you are able to prevail and have your surgery sooner rather than later and WITH insurance coverage. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
Good luck,
Angela
