Scales up, measurements down!!!
As of yesterday I am 3 weeks out. Did great the first two weeks with weight loss 23 lbs, since last Monday I have gained 1.5 lbs. Darn scale!!!!! But I have noticed some changes on my body. I had myself measured at Curves right before surgery. This morning I decided to measure myself and I am down 11.75 inches. I am sure that could be off a little one way or the other since I did it myself. Even still I have lost inches. I hate the scales and need to get rid of it but have not the will power to do it. My friend told me the other day my boobs were smaller and I didn't believe her but sure enough they are 4 inches smaller. Wi**** were hips and not boobs. Oh well, hubby said when all is said and done he would see to it I could have TT and new boobs.
Hope everyone has a good week.

Hey JC,
I did basically the same thing. I was down 24 lbs. the first two weeks and then the next two and a half weeks I didn't lose a pound. Don't worry, You'll start losing again real soon. I asked if this would happen at my two week visit because you go from eating nothing the first two weeks then after that you finally start being able to eat something. The good news is that usually after every stall that I have had so far, yopu lose a bunch like all at once. Usually after a stall I'll drop 7 to 9 pounds in a day.Hang in there, the scales will start moving down again real soon. Jenifer Francis
Hi Jenifer,
I was getting a little nervous, you know that failure thing keeps popping in my head. I know that people have stalls, I can accept that but I had gained and it freaked me out. But yesterday and today I just feel smaller. I can tell in my hips and lower tummy that it seemed a different. I can accept the numbers on the scale if I can see a difference.
I see Merriman did your surgery, when did you have yours done? So far I am real pleased, just like all my past diets attempts I am not very patient.
Take care,
JC
I had my surgery September 21st. I am down around 68 or 69 pounds as of this morning. You ought to come to the SOR meeting at Dr. Merriman's office next Tuesday. I've been going since I had the surgery and they are very good and you get to talk with people that are all under 6 months post op. The next meeting is Tuesday the 10th and they are usually at 4 oclock. The dietician is always there also to answer any questions.

I am really looking forward to it. I have the next few marked on my calendar. I won't be able to attend the one in Feb since it is Valentines day. I work for my friend that owns a florist. Needless to say I will be very busy that day and from years past will probably still be delivering flowers. If I am finished I am sure I will be dead to the world. I can't even begin to tell you how many deliveries we had last year and my poor fingers were torn up from cleaning the thorns off the roses. I really do enjoy the happiness on peoples faces when I bring them flowers.
You have done great with your weight loss, you go girl....
Looking forward to the 10th....
Take care,
Jc
Hay everyone! helpful hints for weighing in: try weighing at home with no clothes on, scale in same spot, and at same time. Clothes can weigh(try it) and try not to weigh everyday.... (my bad habit) and yes , it will stall at times, it won't drop every week or every day... but it will, if everyone follows diet, and not eat junk... my md said even the worst dieters lose 70-80 lbs because of the nutrition... enough soap box .. love ya'll, thanx for all the support.... Rhonda , fellow loser......
Hi Rhonda,
My loser friend, gosh normally that would sound so bad!!!!
I weigh everymorning in the buff and usually it is the same time. I just need to stay away from the scale, it is evil!!!!
I know I will lose and I am ok with the stall I know that happens. I was just shocked that I had gained but I feel like I have lost, and my measurements show it.
I went to my husbands office today, no one knows what I had done and I heard you look like you've lost a lot of weight...are you not feeling well from your surgery. It was kind of funny...
Hope you have a good day.
JC
that is funny, everyone ask me how i feel all the time, i guess they have heard horror stories from this surgery.. i work with MD;s at my work and one of them I'm closer to at work... he kept smiling the other night asking me hundred questions(i guess he is getting me back from my hundred questions preop) I said are you ok? he said yes, im just amazed that I get to see a good outcome of this surgery., instead of bad things he admits people for in my hospital. (he is a hospital MD, not surgeon, he sees people in the emergency room that need to be admited that don't have a dr. or have a dr. who doesn't see patients in the hospital). He is really nice...anyway, we do get people who are continued nausea, vomit, hernias, infection etc... at the hospital i work at , this type of surgery is done maybe one every 4months or so...... i had mine in covington, self pay.... well, be good.. talk to you later... rhonda
