Burning in my throat when I lay down
When I lay down at night and sometimes when I wake up in the morning, I have a burning feeling at the back of my throat. My doctor says it isn't be acid reflux anymore. He says my throat is just sensitive since surgery but that was almost two months ago now.
Has anyone else experienced this problem since surgery? If so, what did you do to get rid of it?
Thanks and Happy New Year!

OT: Did you ever sleep? You would think the burning in my throat was the gumbo, but it gave me no problems. I took prilosec for years and I was surprised when I stopped after reflux after I stopped having babies. Granted, other problems arose, but no acid reflux. Yeah, me!
Sometimes you just have to take it where you can get it.

I guess he thinks that the ulcer medicine I'm on should be taking care of that??? I have an appointment in two weeks and I'm gonna' have a chat with him. It feels just like my acid reflux used to except there is no liquid that I can feel coming up ... except last night. That was the first time that had happened. I might need a stronger medicine.
Thanks for you advice, Tooter!

I'm doing good. I still get real tired. This morning I mopped all my floors that hadn't been cleaned since my surgery at the end of October. My family did a good job keeping the every day stuff done but the big cleanings didn't get done. I'm afraid I have a lifetime of catching up to do now. Anyhow, I'm ready for a nap this afternoon!
Before Christmas I had lost a total of 33 1/2 pounds after surgery. I know I've lost some more but I don't know how much. I'll find out in a couple of weeks when I go back for my next appointment. I'm starting to walk every day, too, so that should help.
How is everything with you? I pray that you had a good holiday season.
Happy new year!
